Yes, those pups are all blues and will get darker after a few months. They will look just like mom & dad.

I am on my 3rd one and each of them have been great dogs. Very devoted to owner and super smart. I do not recommend these dogs for people who only want a house pet. These dogs are born to work and be messed with.

Anyone know how his hunt went?

Yep. I'm so good I can even find my way around without a phone.

Sorry but I hope this is a very short-lived solution. We live in a state with a very limited number of deer that is not increasing. At best, some units are stable. Compound that with a human population that has already grown over 6 million people over last 40 years and is predicted to grow by another 1.4 million people this decade. All this and then add on the 20+ year drought we have been experiencing. The last thing we should be offering is OTC opportunities to non-residents when we can't meet the needs/wants of the residents. What other western state offers OTC deer (especially mule deer) opportunities to NR's during the very best times to hunt them during the rut? This is crazy I have no facts to support this assumption, but I only know what I have observed and read. I believe NR's are more successful per capita than resident hunters. When they travel from out of state to hunt, they tend to hunt harder and longer than most resident OTC archery deer hunters. Because of this they tend to be more successful. A NR is more likely to hire a guide/outfitter as well which adds to their success Game fish should have just issued NR's a very limited # of tags for each unit and made them apply and draw the tag. I am not anti- NR but I am pro Arizona wildlife and hunters. With the quota system in place now all this new NR's solution is going to do is take opportunity away from residents. The faster quotas fill, the sooner hunts close. If I'm wrong, I am wrong. Nothing would make me happier.

I checked 3 - 4 hours ago and I could see my tag #'s but now they are gone. oh well....

When I see stuff like this it reminds me why I am so thankful our founding fathers had the foresight that they did. Simply genius.

Thanks for sharing video. I have heard all kinds of horror stories about hunting 23 and 27 as being very physical. After watching the video first thing I noticed is there are no rock and boulders to walk and trip over. The areas I hunt may not be up and down hard but the rocks kick your butt. That almost looked like walking on a carpeted floor. My ankles would scream for joy if I ever hunted someplace like that.

A quick search on the internet found this 20c youth camp from last year. Not sure if they are doing it again but might be worth contacting them. Be safe and Have fun. Unit 20C Youth Deer Hunt Camp - AMDO - (beoutdoorsarizona.org)

That's too bad. Will probably starve to death as it becomes too difficult to eat.

Been there & done that. Bummer

A quick search on the internet will give you lots of ideas and other peoples answers to your question. Plenty there to keep you busy for a while. Good Luck

I ordered some .357 ammo last January for my HAM hunt that I am still waiting on. Almost forgot about it until I read this. Now I need to look back through my records to find out where I ordered from.

If I didn't already have a Polaris General 4, I would consider this for the mere fact Rhino's fit in bed of truck. Good Luck with sale.

Maybe a point restriction for the Aug/Sept season and then any buck in Dec/Jan? Still allows the kids and meat hunters their chance at anything. Maybe doing it this way would keep some of the units from closing so early and have a few more hunts open in the cooler weather.

I got a river running through mine right now in north peoria.

I never used to mind road hunters because they left the woods for me while they were driving around. Now that we have this quota system, I may turn anti road hunter.

My son just graduated from UofA this past December and got a Job in St. Petersburg Florida. I bought him a lifetime license as a going away gift. He's got a bunch of points for a lot of species. I hope he has time to get away and hunt AZ.

So happy I picked up my 2019 Ram 2500 crew 4X4 6.4 hemi back in August 2020. Picked it up from a private seller had 1,700 miles and he was forced to sell it due to covid downturn. He paid 62K for it the December prior. I Paid 39K no taxes. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. 4-5 years back went to the sunrise 3D shoot over 4th of July weekend. Was amazed at how many young families were driving expensive trucks, pulling huge trailers/ 5th wheels and they were loaded with toys. Easily 200K setups. Could not even imagine having that kind of debt that depreciates so quickly. Paid $67k for my first house in 1989. I bet the original poster is happy he is out from under that deal.
