That's a dandy but I don't recognize that lake? Must be from the peoples socialist republic of Kalifornia? Looks like water level is way down.

Did Todd Rice ever pay your uncle back? How long did he spend in jail. Your uncle should get everything plus a lot more for all the trouble and inconveniences he has been through. The reimbursement of the original fee does not even come close to what is owed your uncle.
Did a search and found this:

I'm following this closely. I have similar damage and could also use a good body repairman. I'm in north Peoria.

Nice write-up and cool pics. Were the antelope rutting pretty good when you were there?
I hunted Wyoming back in 2011 on Oct. 1st & 2nd and the bucks were going crazy chasing small bucks off and looking for hot does.

I was only able to watch about 20 seconds before I had to turn the volume off. Sorry but that music sucks.

Elk should be all herded up. This has all the makings of an elk slaughter. New fresh snow opening morning will make it very easy to find them.

I believe what Pintail said is correct.

Seems to me they only practiced the first S of the three S method of hunting wolves.
I agree, there are definitely some lessons to be learned from this story.

My son had the 12a west early hunt this year. He was able to get his first buck ever on opening morning. We hunted the burn area and I have never experienced so many hunters in a relatively small area before. Multiple vehicles with multiple hunters on every ridge did not really make for a quality experience. The deer were on top or the mid range and had not moved down to lower country yet. We went varmint calling out near slide and there was practically no deer sign at all and there was zero sign of the rut from what we could see. If we ever draw the early hunt again we will not hunt the burn again. Way too many hunters and trying to pack out out a deer from all that dead fall was killer. The Kaibab is a special place for sure and I wish all the late hunters good luck.

It's been a couple years but I drew first choice turkey, HAM javelina & archery bear.

For those of us that have been alive and hunting deer since 70's know the deer populations really took a nose dive when they banned trapping around 91 or 92. There was once a time when you could go to any unit that holds elk in this state and see way more deer than elk. As a matter of fact it wasn't even close. Those trappers kept the lions and coyotes in serious check.
I buy a tag every year and in 40 years I have seen a total of two lions. One in 33 three years ago and one in 6a this past September. Still waiting for my first shot opportunity.

They rotate one hunt each year before the archery hunt. Two years ago it was unit 22, last year 7 west and next season 3a/3c. I would imagine it will take a point or two more to draw this year as the rifle guys with most points want a crack at all those bulls before the archers.
