I am getting rid of some Ammo for a friend of mine who inherited it from his Father who passed away recently. I have 2 1/2 boxes of game loads in 2 3/8 inch shells. And 3 cases of clay pigeons. There was also 2 boxes of 3 inch magnum shells in 20 guage. These shells are older and appear to be in shootable shape. If you can use them you can have them. $30.00

No hunting on State land , Locked Gates ?
Tight Guy replied to marlin's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Had this same problem before. Its my understanding that State trust land is open for hunting season with a valid hunting license. Had ranchers tell me I was trespassing before when I knew from my GPS and landowner layer that I was on public land. Mr. Perkins in 19A seems to think he owns the whole valley. Of course he charges $$ for Antelope hunts and wants the private / public checkerboard area all for his clients. The checkerboard private / public is a tough one. The legal right to cross from public to public at the exact corner intersection is something that is Im sure is depending on who you talk to. As far as the USFS access. We had outfitters in Colorado gate off roads with access to Forest Service land. They would do this the night before opening day. By the time the warden for the area could come out 2 to 3 days later to remedy the situation the best days to get a Elk were over, and they of course weren't the ones who put that gate up. I was also told by a rancher / Outfitter that he could block access to FS land across his property as long as 1 access road into the forest somewhere remained open even if it was 50 miles away. I agree with the ranchers restricting access to their property because of idiots. Heck we all would do the same. -
My son drew a muzzle loading tag for 3B and needs to buy a rifle for this Elk hunt. I would lend him mine but I have the same hunt. Anybody have a muzzleloader rifle they are looking to sell?? And has anybody had this hunt and can offer advice? Much appreciated Thanks

Good afternoon, Just wondering, and maybe its been answered already. Fish and Game seems to have their draw system working as far as application deadline until draw day. It has gotten shorter time wise in the last 5 years. My question is this. When cards get hit are they all hit or processed within hours of when they start hitting?? It seems that if you aren't hit on the day they start hitting then you are SOL. Anybody have any insight into this??

25-06 is my choice only because that is what I have. Everyone is all GA-Ga about the 6,5 Creedmore, and I agree it is a great solution for antelope. If you are buying for this hunt, anything from the 25, 26, 6.5, 7MM, 28, or 30 cal all work. Shoot what you shoot best.

Favorite Elk Bullet? Average shot distance in AZ?
Tight Guy replied to excaliber's topic in Elk Hunting
Always liked Barnes TTSX and I I load all my rifles with them 25, 270, and 30 caliber. Some swear by them, so swear against them. As with anything else everyone has there own experiences to share. I personally have never had to blood trail any animal I have shot with them and that includes 4 elk. They either are DRT or go no more then 30 yards. Just seems that the terminal shock produced by these bullets really messes them up and renders them incapable of running off, even on marginal hits. -
I have a full kitchen set-up that I will be taking out in about 2-3 weeks. Also have the countertops, sink, garbage disposal, the whole 9 yards. I am Out of town until Thursday but can send you pictures when I get home if you are interested.

This isn't another of those " tell me where the new World Record Elk is tied to a tree at " questions. Just looking for suggestions from people who have done this trip before. All my life I have wanted to go to Montana to do a Combo general Deer and Elk hunt. And since I have more time on my hands now days have decided that this fall will be the right time. That being said I have never hunted Montana before and am looking for any and all help that you guys can give regarding where I might start. I plan on going and doing the Archery elk hunt in late Sept for about a week to 10 days. And if not successful come back for the rifle season. I hunt by camping out and hunting by just walking out of camp or driving to a nearby area and hunting on foot. I can also add that I can still get around in the mountains, But can't do areas that aren't steep and deep anymore. Where unit do you suggest for the bow hunt?? Just looking for a spot where I can camp and if I do my part get into some elk to play the calling game with. Not a trophy hunter anymore and any bull will do. Just want to go Elk Hunting. For the rifle season does anybody have a suggestion for a unit where both bulls and cows are legal?? Again not looking for a monster just want to hunt and maybe bring a cow home for the freezer if the bulls don't cooperate. Again not looking for anyone's honey hole just a place you have hunted that might fit the hunt im looking for. Thanks in advance for the info

I feel your pain, I to am at the twilight of my career (65) and can manage maybe 2 more archery bull hunts in AZ given the draw odds before Im designated down to only being camp bitch. I decided that Im going elk hunting every year that I have left. Am putting in for the Montana combo tag this year along with my Az tag. And as a fail safe I can always go and buy a tag in Colorado over the counter.Like you I enjoy the experience to much to not go, Lets make the most of it while we can. Elk Hunting or Bust.

I built a 300 blackout / 300 whisper upper for my AR about 4 years ago. At the time I wanted to do a hog hunt and thought it would be a great setup. Well I never seem to have the time and decided to sell these reloading supplies for some money to buy powder and bullets to reload for a 30-06 that I am working up a load on. The dies, bullets, and powder are all brand new and never opened. The bullets are 120 grain Nosler ballistic tip, and the powder is H 110 which is they tell me the go to powder for this round. I also have 41 empty brass to include. I would like to sell this as a package, or trade for some 30-06 brass, IMR 4350 powder, H4350 powder, or 30 cal barnes bullets, or ??? Im thinking 85.00 or OBO. Im located in Gilbert
