Born and Raised in Iowa, I moved to AZ in 2001. I have been hunting since I was 7 and mostly Whitetail deer, pheasant, ducks and geese. I FINALLY picked up hunting again after such a long hiatus, and couldn't be more happy. I love to hunt Mule Deer, Coyote, and Javelina. I am super happily married and have 2 children ages 5 and 3. lets go get em and see them through the sights, and hope our hunts are successful.
  1. Just wanted to pass a word of caution to those who may be either Duck or predator hunting on the Gila River Bottom just off of Bullard Ave and Virginia in South Goodyear. There are a group of men who are still shooting at ducks and waterfowl on the water each and every Saturday and Sunday. They shoot way before sunrise too which can scare the crap out of you. They are using air rifles and .22s and have been reported to the Sheriffs office and AZGF. I have been shot at a few times and have had ricochets close to me. I have included a link to a map so that you can see where I am talking about. The water is receding though quite a bit and the ducks are leaving to further east of me, which makes me happy. If there is anyone in the area close to there that would like to do a team up Coyote Hunt, pm me. https://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=33.387279,-112.372447&hl=en&sll=33.387351,-112.371833&sspn=0.005769,0.006899&t=h&mra=mift&mrsp=1&sz=17&z=17

    20c Javelina Help

Thank you for the info guys, I am going to try the area by the dairy on the south side of the 89. If I don't get anythign there, Ill head back up north and hunt the Ox ranch again. Which reminds me that I have to send an email to the owners of the Ox ranch and thank them for the permission to hunt on their land.

    20c Javelina Help

I would like to thank you all for the PM's with some good info. Has anyone here hunted or seen Javelina just north of Congress along 89? The map link below shows the area that I have permission to hunt, and the area in question is around the East side of the road next to Billingsley Resevoir #2. Just no signs, no droppings nor standing water, but plenty of prickly pear cactus and cattle water tanks. https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=34.183122,-112.82567&daddr=Date+Creek+Rd&hl=en&sll=34.23877,-112.850361&sspn=0.045696,0.055189&geocode=FdKXCQIdumpG-Q%3BFahTCgIdswFG-Q&t=h&mra=dme&mrsp=1&sz=14&z=14

    20c Javelina Help

This is my first post here but am pretty active over on another Site. I have been skunked in both Mulies and Javelina in 20c this entire season. I see a lot of tracks for some big mulies, but not so much Javelina. I mostly hunt the north side of Hwy 89 just outside of Congress AZ along the Date Creek Road on the Ox Ranch. This is a last ditch effort to ask if anyone else has seen Javelina along this route and how far in. Any help would be great, I took a 7 mile hike and tons of prickly pear, but no droppings or tracks of the piggies. The water tanks are too high to drink from and there is little to no standing water. I know folks do not want to give up their spots, but any help would be appreciated.
