The gas block will have to come off if he ever wants to change handguards. Might as well do it right the first time. There are jigs you can buy to dimple the barrel but im not sure if you will have the real estate for it since it was pinned. I have seen plenty of factory rifles that didn't have dimpled barrels and a bunch of clamp on blocks that hold their position. Just torque appropriately and use blue locktite. My slim free floating hand guard wont allow me to keep the A2 sight without cutting the bottom swivel and bayonet lug off, did you have to cut the bottom off your sight as well? -

Did you use a jig to dimple the barrel? -
Hope you get it back. A friend of mine lost his Swarovskis in the Matazels a very long time ago, he was inside the wilderness about 11 to 12 miles on the west side.

UPS will also want a signed copy of the FFL you send it to. And a copy of your drivers license inside the box for the receiving FFL. With the nice wood, and quality scope and mounts those guys will grab it right up. -

You may consider placing it for sale on rimfire central, I sold one of my 452 s and it was gone the first day I posted it. It will cost about 30 to 35 dollars to ship/insure it across the country and it must be shipped from a UPS hub. Good luck with your sale. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/vbclassified.php -
I have to go out of town for a week, but you can send a pm and I will respond as soon as I get back. Thanks

I just bought these but had already developed plantar fasciitis, and needed a half size larger to fit an insole for a high arch. They have a very roomy toe box, soft thick leather and are very comfortable. They only have about 10 miles on them, and put two coats of OBENAUFS heavy duty LP on them. I paid 199.00 plus shipping. The reviews are accurate. $150.00 for the boots size 10.5 http://www.sierratradingpost.com/alico-ultra-hiking-boots-waterproof-for-men~p~8449n/

I dont have that shelter, but a four man and the quality is excellent. I wanted more room and the ability to stand up, and it has screen doors.

Kaibab hunter I would suggest shooting a light weight 300 win. before you buy one, when using stiff loads or heavy bullets they have stout recoil in an 8 pound gun and under gun. You can also put a brake on the Tikka. You didn't mention what calibers you already own? A 7 mm rem. magnum is also a very useful round for large deer and elk with the right bullet. My self I would stick with Leupold. If you buy a BDC scope make sure you confirm drop with your choosen load for each post (yardage) in the scope. Good hunting -
