The Vanguard S2 are tack drivers, the triggers are very good, it takes a Timney trigger to make me happy, but I can happily live with new trigger on the vanguard, the Savages can be absolute tack drivers and you can change out your own barrels, haven't owned a Tikka, don't over look the TC Venture, light and they shoot VERY well, guaranteed moa.

I have some friends in Idaho, they packed in their camp 13 miles and set up the wall tent, cut wood and were ready for the season as they take a full month off to hunt and stay at camp the entire time, when they arrived two days before the opener the only thing left was the fire wood.
