Not to derail this post but they need to enforce the laws already on the books. Approximately 88,000 people are rejected under our current back round check system every year, and last I checked they weren't even prosecuting .01 percent, its a felony to try and by a gun as a prohibited person. The reason they want a universal back round check system is so they can make a registry of firearm owners. If you read the last bill beyond the first paragraph it was just that which is why it was vetoed.

I do believe the 6.5 x 55 needs a long action? I would still sell the 300 and re-barrel the Tikka in a 280 AI, then build a 6.5 x 55. (Just my 2 cents) What kind of velocity do you get with the 6.5 x 55 AI? -
Its still available. I sent you a PM and left my number.

For myself I would sell the 300 win. put new barrel chambered for 280 AI, and build/buy a 6.5 x 55. The 280 AI will handle the larger game, it doesn't need a muzzle break, and I dont like to deal with all that brass prep. Did I mention its also a sweet shooting round. I also like the idea of having a swede! -
I cant believe this rifle hasn't sold yet. Great deal!

FS: .338 Lapua Savage Long Range Hunter and Hornady Ammo PRICE DROP
452b264 replied to loboscout's topic in Classified Ads
Is the rifle here in Arizona yet? Punched out to a 338 Lapua AI and loaded with 300 gr. Accubonds it would be a beast. -
The newer S 2 WBY. Vanguards shoot good. Mine shot 3/8 to 1/2 inch with factory loaded Wby. 165 gr. Tsx. On a really bad day and it still shot 1/2 to 3/4 inch groups. With hand loaded ammo getting 1/2 inch groups was easy with that rifle. There is another member on here who shoots one in 7 MM RM. and his also shoots very well. Good luck with your sale!
