Yep on the BH209, wonder powder. Won't use anything else. -
I use a leupold vx3 2.5x8 with M1 turrets in a lowly .223 to shoot jackrabbits at 600 yds, don't see no reason to use a Hubble to take a deer at less distance.

Gonna have to experiment on seating depth. In and out. -
Illinois public land hunting is better than some states private land hunting. Even at that I only hunt private there too because it's easy to get permission there.

I've never had to pay for anything but $29 ain't nothing to cry about when you got the best glass in the world either. They're awesome.

No argument there. Totally agree. -
2 things. First and foremost do not conceive a child around the first part of the year.(jan-March)..you will pay for that the rest of your life. Second, do Alaska now!!!! If you don't you might regret that the rest of your life too, unless your very well to do. Children are most definately a gift from God, I love both mine to death. And my boy is a hunter too. :-)

Good scope with lots of eye relief and a rifle with little or no recoil. A .223 to start out with is awesome and can use it for deer with the proper bullets. I started my son out with a .243 and he loves it, 2 years ago he shot a coues at 400 with it. He's shooting 80 grain TTSX's and a 3.5-10 leupold scope with a CDS dial, a winning combination for him.
