Coues hunter or Coues Sniper?
Titanium700 replied to AZAV8ER's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Did he do it by himself or use your skill and knowledge to assist? I would assume you helped him get there, find the deer, set up properly and take the shot. I would also assume either you or him spent time behind that scope of that particular rifle working up a load and sighting it in properly. So my point stands. Good hunters(shooters) will be effective at any distance. You are correct, all I did though was call out the range and wind for him, he twisted the cds dial and did everything else. But your correct. It took practice. And I bet you were super proud of him and rightly so. That is a tough shot but the confidence from practice makes it doable. Yes, I was very proud of him. As a matter of fact he was pretty proud too, he kept telling everyone for weeks afterward. -

I use mine in conjunction with my 15x56s. They are always on my harness and my 15s in my backpack until I sit to glass.

Titanium700 replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Yeah. We got her back on track with the correct ammo. Didnt harm the rifle one bit but he now has some 250 Sav brass with a 22/250 headstamp. Hehe. -

Yup. Had a friend that wanted me to help him sight in his Sav 99 in 22/250 Well we got started and that stupid thing wouldnt hit the broadside of a barn at 25 yds (we went to that from 100) so I grabbed the rifle to inspect the usual suspects when I noticed it said 250 Sav on the barrel. I showed it to my friend when he saw it he was shocked. Lol. No wonder.......
