I would too. I like options when everything else is not working. Why limit yourself to one area, open up a whole new world.

I prefer 40/44 mm over the 50 I also like 30mm tubes over the 1” but in this case the 1” will be fine. The way I look at it regardless of the size objective you have you still have to squeeze all that light through a 1” tube, a 50mm in my opinion don’t drastically help.

Personally for those distances and a newer shooter I would steer from the Leuoold vx3 (whichever series) 4.5x14 anything. The Leuoold 3.5x10 is where I would be, to my eyes there is way more light gathering on that scope over the 14 x scope. I actually hate the 4.5x14

Yeah. I .243 will work great. Two yrs ago my son shot a spike bull at 135 yds through the lungs, the went 4 steps and dropped. He was using a 100 grain partition at 2900 +/- FPS The bullet blew all the through the bull.

Hi there, Can somebody help me to figure out the AZ hunters education thing? I do not have one for AZ but I do for my home state. I notice in the AZGFD website that there are several different styles of education that is offered. I would like to get one to have a lifetime bonus point so could I do the online course and take the bonus point class or do I need to take the full on hunters education class? I would most likely have to fly there anyway I know to do the field day but work keeps me busy, if I could fly out and take the one hour bonus point class and fly right back that would be awesome. Do I have it right? Thx

I got it figured out. Im going to take the online course and do the one day bonus point only class, seems there are many days for that I can schedule. Thanks for all your help guys.

Yup. Just got ahold of them. They will only recognize the AZ hunters ed. Im gonna have to make a trip. I would do the above but getting a flight back home will not work on such a short notice and Ive got a big job scheduled the following Monday.

Thanks guys. I think in order to get the AZ lifetime bonus point though it needs to be the AZ course, I do not think they would honor my states hunters education to qualify for the lifetime bonus point. I think I will do the online course and come for one day. I can fly out cheap enough.

My guess is Friday. But what do I know?
