How many miles?

I liked the old days hiking through the hills with a model 94 30-30. We shot big deer judging them while they were running away! Now I have a long range rifle / high end optics. If you averaged the inside spread of all the coupes deer in the record books you will have a good idea what you need to be looking for. I would say 13 - 14 inches is normal. Normally when the measuring system is poo pooed because of inside spread, it is because of an animal that would possibly book if it had an average inside spread. The measuring system is well established. Just my opinion

This is a great club!! This is the first year I couldn't make it in the last 15 years. I have been a member for 30 plus years. The stipulations / qualifications are a lot different than they were 40 years ago , which is what Mr Quimby remembers

I would shoot as a 120 buck every day of the season! The hunter is in front of the deer. Look at the size of the bases, and head on the buck. When the antlers are the closest thing to the camera, they naturally will look bigger. Trophy for sure.
