I was wondering if anyone had a run in with drug mules on the east side of 36b near Rio Rico? It would have happened today 9/16/16.

I think my next rifle tag I'll be using an iron sight 30-30! Not as easy as a rifle with a scope but not as hard as archery.

It's been a while since I have hunted 22 but we have killed some MD bucks near sunflower. Just don't get sucked to hight into the mountains

This is why I hunt down south!! Illegals only want food and water. I would rather lose some water than my whole camp lol

I would like to try H4831SC so I could load my 270 with the same power or even H1000. But both of those powder aren't in the horady book for the 212gr bullet.. being new to reloading I don't know where to start or even if it's safe to shoot if it's not in the book. Any help with where to start would be fantastic!

I love Hodgdon's line of Extreme powders. For a .300WSM, I would think a little slower, like H4831SC or even H1000 depending on what bullet you are running.
Alliant has come out with a temperature stable line too. Like RL23.
I'm using the ELD-X 212gr bullets.

First off I'm new to reloading and Im loving it!! Right now I'm using RL-19 in my 300wsm and I'm shooting .5 moa in 100°. I'm looking for one powder that I can run on eirly desert hunts and late bull hunts. From what I have read I don't think I can count on RL-19 doing that for me. Would I be better off switching to an extreme powder like H4350?

You could hunt the flats with the 45-70.

It's funny people are all concerned about illegals stealing stuff but every year I hear of camps being broken into up north...

I paid 1700 for my 14x16 with no stove. Depending on the condition this is a great deal.

I'll be hunting the 36s due I can be mule deer hunting with only a 10 min drive!

^^^ very true about packing out! I'm a young guy in great shape and I started working out 2 months ago. I have the December rifle hunt. We have 3 tags to fill if we all tag out I'm looking at 9-18 miles of packing out heavy not counting hunting and going in light for recovery.

Great info! I'm about to sight in a 6-24 power scope.

I don't remember his name but one of the guys on broadhead brotherhood on FB can get you a deal on the kilo.

If you aren't heading to the range I would rethink that. Fire restrictions are for all target shooting also. I would hate for you have to go see a judge for breaking the restrictions!
Stay safe and shoot straight.

I had a chance to look through the vortex 1500 and the kilo at sportsman's. The kilo is by far inferior in glass clarity. It was not even close on the ranging ability I had the kilo out to 2800 on a tree free handed! All In All I have a kilo ordered and excited to get it!

I have heard of more camps being rummaged and things being stolen up north by Jack A's then by illegals.
