I only heard good things about the viper.. but what kind of glass would you put in there?
-
Oh yeah. I plan on taking it hunting 😃 Maybe I'll get one of those Kifaru Gun Bearers.. I love the package. I think I might even do a Viper HST on it. Some great videos on youtube with 6.5 and Elk..

My middle son loved my jacket so much I gave it to him. With Fathers day around the corner, I'm thinking Sitka Jetstream. Would like it be comfy around Dec/Flag hunts.. anyone have this jacket? What's it rated to really?

That is the cleanest ride I've ever seen. -
Sounds like a great time!

Mebbe. It's actually pretty far from the cam. I'll check it today and see if there's any others.

I checked a cam once in 7E- was going thru the pics and had a bear playing in a pond. I was the next shot about 3 mins later. Makes ya think..

Just finished the app for the boy. We have 12 AW as first choice, and some local units as well (21, 20b). Also put him in for Javelina- he hasn't got one yet. Maybe we'll get a hunt in the same unit for both at the same time..

Love it

Thanks guys- Tons of replies. He's sorting through them.

Depends on my mood sometimes. I found out that not only does my truck hate them, apparently my trailer will take them out given the opportunity.

OMG They're everywhere!!

Up north, I would. Flag- Williams, etc.. not so prevalent. And I'd still take precautions. Anything in the valley- at that age- no. (I have a 3 year old)

That's an awesome spot!

Not sure about the 'has hair' part- but I think this law stinks. http://www.azgfd.net/wildlife/hunting-news/are-you-shed-antler-hunting-legally/2009/03/12/

So living in New River has drawbacks. I'm hauling about 3000 gallons a month, minimum. I actually don't mind the hauling, it's the pumping. I'm using an electrical pump - and it's really, really slow. I've been checking out the gas powered water pumps certified for potable water. They start at 1750. Like the Pacer Potable Water Pumps Not an option for me anytime soon. I see a lot of folks on youtube using Harbor Freight pumps for potable water. I know it's not rated for such things.. but $200 is inviting. Started getting bottle water deliveries.. so that's what we're drinking. Anyone use harbor freight/home depot gas pumps for water? How do they work? Is there really a danger using these for drinking water? Right now it takes 30 mins for the electric pump to pump out 275 gallons. A gas powered pump will do it in 2. Kinda tempting..

The entry into the cistern is at the top.. I think something like 8ft. There’s no way I could get above it. That would probably be faster than the electric pump!

Yup. The pump was replaced for a few grand. There wasn’t really ever enough water for the property, and there’s so much arsenic that it clogged the scrubber. It costs 1200 a year to replace the arsenic removal media. I’d just rather keep the whole thing turned off and keep hauling. Had and I known the arsenic was going to be so problematic I never would have fixed it.
