So mom moved in. We're thinking about converting the garage to an in-law suite. Anyone have any recommendations for a contractor? And any experience with this? How much are we looking at for a full studio?

We're bugging out tomorrow. I think we're looking at 2 nights of rain- max. I'm hoping there isn't alot. (It might be snow)

I’m guessing you were by Meyer.

I wouldn't even put a camera on a saguaro- I think state law spells it out about damage.

So some things I'm apparently not a pro at - yet. The Ranger starts chugging after a few miles. I thought it was the ripped intake boot, but after 3-5 miles it still acts up. Once it gets hot- it'll cut out if I stop. I watched the fuel pressure stay at 40 as it died.. so I'm thinking electrical. And the TPS seems to be affected when I jiggle the wires. Who's got a good shop in the north valley?

Update- and I hope this post helps someone down the road. The stalling appears to have been a mix of the tbsp sensor and a bad plug wire. The previous owner had bent a plug connector 90 degrees for whatever reason to go on the plug. New plug wire seemed to take care of the issue.

The coolest thing I've found was a sharks tooth. It was about a day down in the Peppersauce cave on Mount Lemon. Took a nap in a little overhang and woke up. Flipped on the light. There it was. Never been able to beat that one..

Good advice! I checked out the plugs, and the driver side is really bad- the spark plug wire is perma-bonded to the plug. Both look really bad. I called the dealer today, and they don't carry them in stock. (what??) Ordered. Should be here Thursday.

Code 25 went away.. And I installed the new Tbap sensor. It came with butt connectors- and I used those for the test drive. The Ranger drives great, but it did suddenly cut out twice. Once was going down the hill- I let up on the gas and it was instant. I'm going to cut the connectors and solder them in place tonight. Previously, it would chug and idle out slowly. So I think I'm getting closer- I'm going to run some quality gas through it with some injection cleaner, and if it's still a problem next week, I'll change out the pump. It does restart instantly- and only did it twice in 8 miles, so maybe it's a glitch.

SO- There are coues I've seen as far south as Gavilan Peak. One jumped my Ranger hood last week - and they're heavy in New River Mesa/ Magazine Canyon. I've seen Mule Deer in 21 that made my jaw drop- and I have the tag for Nov for Mulies, but I'm not seeing them consistently. It's like it's 50 to 1 coues to Muley. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spots- I dunno. I was thinking Bloody Basin Road.

Not if you make your own *little* pond on a good trail in the middle of nowhere! Works wonders.

In the desert, water works too. I'd stay away from corn- it's illegal to use for hunting, and if you ask F&G about it in the off season you'll get different answers. Deer caine? *shrugs*

I can't even comment.

Great topic. i can’t add anything new. It’s a balance- every one of us would be a ten if we could. There’s things like jobs, wives, commitments that get in the way. The job is demanding and has absolutely nothing to do with my passion of the outdoors- that’s the big constraint. The wife leads the way when she can. (She has a job too). This year I will be spending 25 days on big game and about 30 on small game/ fishing. Probably another 60 scouting. (I’m fortunate to live very near my hunting grounds). My favorite thing to do is get home, grab the truck, drive 5 miles, climb a good size hill and watch the sun go down and the deer come out. I’d say a 7.

SO that's for that- I did the codes. Got a 25. Not sure about that yet. I did see that the TBAP harness has exposed wiring where it was touching the rail. I hear that can do the very thing I'm complaining about. The new harness will be here tomorrow and I"ll splice it in. Gawd I'm hoping that's all it is. Elk hunt is in three weeks!

The guy I bought it from said the pump was replaced.. and the pressure did stay at 40 when it idled out.., I hear that these issues are 70% pump and 30% TPS/wires.. Not sure if it could still be the pump if it's popping out 40 psi- and I'm thinking I need to buy a multimeter to really get into this thing.

And this is probably the best TV out there from what I've seen lately!
