So spent the last 5 hours of the day in the blind in Unit 21. Nothing. Time for the wife and I to get back to the truck. We start walking about 8pm. I went through 3 mags... I guess we interrupted a party. (Hard to hit when they're squirming)

I'm about to put Cooper STT Muds on the F250.. I have Goodyear Kevlars on the Yukon and they're awesome.

I put up a blind for archery deer- a week before the season and I don't think they got used to it. If you put one up brush it up REALLY good.

I just ordered a new light on this experience. I had used a black diamond icon which is seriously underpowered and a sure fire (which is great but you have to hold it) and I'm tired of trying to see things in the dark. I spent 12 hours in a blind yesterday. Did some spot and stalking and that was a mistake. Too hot. I went through 2.5 gallons of hot water and was 100% wasted after. The majority of my experience is in a tree stand at 8k FT. Yesterday I baked in 107 .. I'm only doing morning and evening stand in that location!going forward. Did I mention the monsoon that popped up over my head at 6pm? (Blinds atttact lightning) The only thing I have to show for it is a 4.5 ratter with 24 buttons. Kinda cool. No deer at all- its like I put up the blind a week ago and all activity stopped. I don't think j they're used to it yet. The snakes apparently don't care 😀 If I don't see anything today I'm going back to 8k ft tomorrow.

Kinda new to tripods and usage for photography- I use a Primos tripod for a rifle. But I'm starting to like the idea of getting them on camera. With the Primos, I have a screw and that's about it- there isn't a lot of panning up and down, left and right..
