Me and the boys just got tagged this morning. Now we prep.. I'm hoping it's some good units!
-
Congrats to all who got picked! Yeah- I think I'm gonna land a cow hunt in 7E in Dec. I will tell you that the Under Armor 4.0 cold gear worked GREAT last year. I don't see how I'd leave the tent without it.

The neighbor threw them over when we started the project. I'll ask him what it is.

We just started two weeks or so ago! And we just planted 30 potatoes in a circular tire-type thing. We can't wait for those!

Anyone have an idea? Not a rattler.. that's the best pic I could get without a selfie stick =)
-
Oh yeah. He's my new buddy!

And.. was going out into the back patio to set some more mousetraps last night. They're digging out there. Looks like this guy beat me to it. Had his head 6 inches down a hole. Those snakes are coming out!!

I did not. The boys of course did Jr's Elk so we're hoping for 2 cows in October. I put in for a bull and a few cow hunts with better odds- all rifle.

The boys and I just got hit this morning. Luck of the Irish?!

Thanks! Hopefully he can help with the mice!

Thanks for that- I was looking myself.

Help me find a good Spring break camping spot for large group...

That's a GREAT Area.. you might like Bear Flats- about 16 miles north of Bagdad. 34°41'51.40"N 113° 1'28.76"W As I remember it's trailer friendly.. -
Black Diamond Icon- old style. Hands down.

I almost never get any time to go explore anymore- but I killed 3 hours in my backyard over the weekend and headed to Fig Springs. It was a surprisingly good trail- and I didn't quite make it there before I had to go back. More deer sign that I had guessed- I was glad to see it. I also saw something else on the way home. It's not something you see a lot of, but I only had one thought. This guy did a better job than I could've done.. I think New River has a no-tolerance on coyotes.

So there I am. The pump control junction box had an add-on electrical outlet for the arsenic scrubber led display. All the wires came loose. I had opened the panel it was a mess.. So I have a electrical outlet that I'm trying to reconnect it to. I know the black will go with the black (right junction box/top left screw) and the ground will go to the box- (although in that picture, the ground wasn't connected- at all. It was on the outside of the box). I guess my question is: Where do I connect the white wire too? It was my understanding that white only goes with white/grey wires. My guess is that it was attached to the yellow wire. Obviously I didn't hook this up initially.. And thank you!

I did. So when I got out there, there was 1 black wire from the add on electrical out connected to the other black wire.. I marked up the pic to show. There was a white wire- that had been attached to something, but it was in mid air. I'm assuming it was near the screw to the box like I found it. Maybe as a ground. The other ends of the black and white wire went to the box. Nothing of that setup is in the original pic. Once I figure out where the white wire goes, I'm set. But I think I'll still get that meter at home depot..

Buckskin I called- I don't want this to be a "Hold my beer" moment =) LOL I put it on hold till I get more info. Going into town to do some shopping. With the research I came up with, it's a 220 volt system. Black to black- and the white is probably neutral. (I don't know if that will go to a ground screw in the box). It's a two wire system. With a GFCI I'm thinking that might be ok. I'll definitely get more info before I play around. Of course, the whole power grind will be down to this before I even think about it. I'm in New River, btw..

^^^^^ No commercial gun safe is fire rated. They made up their own rating. A huge gun safe takes about 15 minutes to break through with a $80 Saw from Home Depot. We all have them.. just don't rely on it too much. Use it with other security devices. (Alarms/Cameras)

Just sayin'.. http://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/2017/01/16/poll-millennials-lack-basic-survival-skills.html

Yeah. The kids know what to do if the lights go out. I imagine most contributors kids on this site know similar. One Second After should be mandatory reading in schools. (At least mentioned)

So- I think my submersible pump is on the way out. The pump isn't keeping up with the demand, and the 2500 holding tank is dropping pretty fast. I'm fairly sure I'm going to have to get it replaced. I looked online at the AZ Dept of Water Quality and found out that it's 200 ft deep with a 198ft drop pipe and a 7" casing.. And then I notice that the water level is at 30ft. The neighbors have similar figures. And being so new to this.. why would you drill 212 ft deep if the water level is at 30? Is that just all the water in the pipe that's going to get drained once the pump kicks in?
-
The weird of it is- it seems to be holding around 6-700 gallons, and that's around the last float. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I had pulled the float system up out of the holding tank and made each 'click'. No more water poured out though.. Sure enough, shut the pump off/on and the system pumped water for 30 seconds..

I think it's built around '98.. I have no idea when it was cleaned.. I'm thinking never if it followed the upkeep the house had!

We're in New River- by Wranglers Roost.
