So, I live in Phoenix. Northern part. It's come to the point that we're getting out of the rental and looking to buy a property. I'm seriously considering Camp Verde. (I'd still be working in Northern Phoenix, but getting out of the dustbowl onto a river property is worth the 1 hour commute). Anyone live up there? Are there any downsides to that area? Great town to move to? Looking for a slow and easy lifestyle in the country. I'm done with 31 years of Phoenix.

I hear good things about them. Do they fly like practice points? Close to it? I'm thinking of switching from Muzzy to something with a bigger wound channel.

I've been looking in New River.. that was my first choice. I need at least a 4 bedroom and a pool. That's pretty pricey!

Having never been there before, I had to take the time and check it out. Took 4 days off, the kids, the go kart and the drone and did some scouting. We camped around the White Horse Hills- and it was a good thing too. Some of the spots I was thinking of covering had houses- so that's not going to work. I think I'm definitely going to do archery deer there in Aug- I'm hoping the cameras show good things. Found some awesome spots. I know some here had mentioned they got the 7E hunt at some point, but never been there as well. Going back in two weeks to hike from White Horse Hills to the cones a little farther north and check the cameras. I'm almost as excited for the deer hunt as I am the elk.

Checked the cams over the weekend in 7E. More bear than anything else I think!

We went with Fusion .308 last year. Both does dropped like a rock.

So the boys opened their tags for DOE- Unit 12 In their envelope was a coupon for a free box of ammo at Cabelas/Sportsmans to help do away with the lead bullets. Cool!

I had some ideas to keep them out of sight, but I don't have the cash. Went with a Primos 5MP- Dick usually sells them for like $29. I tried it out, it doesn't suck. I'll head back to Flag this weekend =)

Hey all, I have zero experience with wireless cameras. I'm thinking about saving up for a https://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Trophy-Wireless-Camera-Vision/dp/B00IX6RODY/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 They're pricey- and about 10 bucks a month. Having the Elk hunt 2-3 hours away from my house has convinced me that I'd REALLY like to get a text picture every time something steps in front of the camera. Mixed reviews online.. Anyone have any experience?

Guilty. Yeah, never big on the horns- you can't eat them. But- even Edwards Park has t mobile service. There's a few spots with cell that keep my interest. Im just hoping if I sick 350 into something, it'll keep working. (And does what it says)
