    Wtb kids bow

Looking for a compound bow for my 10 yr old boy and 7 yr old girl. Would like it to have a whisker biscuit. Would need to adjust down to a low poundage. Something like the Diamond Atomic bow would be perfect. Lmk what you got....

    Shoulder mount in garage care

Changing things up in the house and am moving my elk mount to my garage. Do I need to be concerned about bugs or anything like that? If yes what would you recommend to keep the bugs off of it?

    extending hitch on travel trailer

the way i used to tow my quad and travel trailer was by putting my quad in the bed of my truck and i was able to close the door. with my new rig, i need to leave the tailgate open but it won't go all the way down due to the trailer wheel crank. has anyone ever had any success extending the frame on the trailer so the gate would be able to close and leave enough clearance for turns, etc? i imagine it may throw off hte tongue weight and such..... if this isn't feasible i may have to let her go and pick up a hauler but i'd like to avoid that if possible (esp with the sketchy economy/market right now).

I need the tailgate to support the back wheels of the quad. I thing the wt dist shank + a new jack should do the trick...

    extending hitch on travel trailer

I'm gonna have to look at the jack closer. These extenders look ok for a boat or something like that but looks like they rate out at 3500-4000 lbs max which is too low for my application.

Does Working Out Help You Hunt Better?

Every aspect of your life is improved if you are fit and in good health. Anyone who would disagree is delusional. Healthy body, healthy mind.

    34a here i come...

heading out for archery javelina and deer if i see one. never hunted there before but going with a friend with some experience in the area. open to any and all suggestions. happy new year.
  24. 2nd time taking my new 7mm mag out. so far it's working out pretty good. i've been focused exclusively on characterizing the ogive to base measurement....i went a little granular in between two windows that seemed to stand out on the last outing. Shooting 60gr RL22, 168gr Bergers hunting VLDs, and with the following jump: Top left: .05 Top Right: .06 Bottom Left: .07 Bottom Right: .08 Center: .09 (I narrowed it to somewhere in between .05 -.09 on the last trip). all shooting was done from a sled today. all in all, pretty happy. i'm not sure why the bottom right group was looser than the others...i shot another group of this load and had .464" group....so i might have been getting chilly/tired. i'm going to go with the midpoint group (bottom left) as it looks like i have margin on both ends of the spectrum. now the question is do i dick around with increasing the powder charge or do i call it good. aside from the obvious benefit of jacking up the charge (slowly) to get more speed and energy, what are the other considerations? I was thinking it might be better to keep it at 60gr as it's lower recoil and less wear and tear on the barrel (which i'm keen to in good shape for a long time...not a cheap investment). thoughts?
