The Steelwater 39gun is divided into thirds. I have two thirds for long guns and the far right side has shelves installed for my $$ optics and my pistols as well as pistols in the door mat. Fire rating is through the roof and I had a great experience with them from order through delivery. I have had up to 18 long guns in the 2/3s of the safe with room for more. Mix of shotguns and scoped rifles.

Look at Steelwater Gun Safes. Free garage delivery, tons of options for lock, layout, lighting etc!!

Better question--- Do we have any non-residents out there who swung for the fences with the new non-resident tag allocations and hit a home run??

Building My Reloading Bench
duckhunter175 replied to Cell4soul's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Great looking bench!!! I have one of the two work benches you joined up. I like the idea of having both together. x2 for reinforcing wherever you put the press. I used a section of 2x8 and attached it with bolts facing up. Let's me move the press and put my hand trimmer on the block. Good luck! -
Just doing my part to make sure we hit 60 pages before the draw happens!

Ok Ok-- more awkward than anything. I don't mind them but most of my hunting is here in KY and within a mile of the truck at most. If yall are humping around those mountains in AZ I don't know if I'd like to drag em around. Maybe inside a pack or something less awkward than the huge bag they come with. Hopefully in the next few days we will see if I get a crack this fall at those elk quarters!!!

I would say use decoys 100% of the time. Just set them up according to how the birds are acting. The Dave Smith Decoys are absolutely devastating. I've never seen birds react in the way I have to them. They aren't lightweight but they are worth the haul. I run a 1/4 strut jake and a feeding hen most of the time and have found this very productive. If I need to add another hen early in the season I will do that. I have a few go-to set ups. 1. Jake and hen 10 yards apart and 20yrds out from me as if they are passing through or feeding. Jake following the hen. 2. Jake over top of the hen. I will take the hen off the stake or push the stake down low so it is almost a breeding position. This really fires up mature gobblers when they see it. 3. If I can find a spot where they are dusting or could dust I will set a hen in the bowl and the jake close behind. lastly-- I will always set up the jake so he is quartering away from me. The gobblers I've seen will approach head on, which offers a decent shot. BUT- If you wait for it they will nearly always circle to the side and come up along the jake with their tail towards you. Which gives time to move your gun or draw your bow. Check out these two videos: www.youtube.com/channel/UC_YofGDHaCLEO6lspNBoVKw

PMs answered. No longer looking for 15s-- scored a set of Kaibabs. Gun still for sale!! -
Great set up!! If you are sticking with factory ammo I've had the best accuracy with HSM. I've used it in 25-06, 7mm Rem Mag and 30-06. All have shot sub-MOA on factory rifles that were bedded. Watched a great show on HSM and their manufacturing. Probably the most consistent, good luck!

Will consider trades--- Looking hard for a Vortex HSLR 4-16x50FFP or similar optic. Can chip in cash from my end. Would also consider trade+cash towards high end 15x binos. -
Anyone have experience with the BOG POD tripods and the various attachments?? I'm interested in their quick change system and now they have different rests, bino adaptor, pan head, etc. Curious about durability, weight, packability, etc. I'm running a Vortex Summit SS-P right now for my binos and Razor HD spotter.
