    WTB- Good Radar Detector

Use waze... a fuzz buster on the dash won't help you with laser... other than letting you know you are busted.

Barrel and bullets are here! Waiting on Manners for the stock (1st week of NOV) and then off to Alamo Precision it will go! Proof, trued Rem 700, Hawkins DBM, Manners MCST elite, PVA Ultralight Jetblast, NF rings and NX8-- should be around 9.5lbs all finished up! Sounds like the Manson custom reamer will need to be ordered as well-

    Christensen Ridgeline reviews?

They shoot well- I've owned one, shot others and handled a bunch more. Lots of gun for the money but still a mass produced factory rifle and not a custom. They aren't immune to issues. I've not been thrilled with the fit and finish on the Ridgelines- bedding compound in weird spots, sticky actions, lugs that weren't cerakoted the same color as the other metal, and a few that had SIGNIFICANT cock on close, etc etc-- still shot well through. The stock stinks-- comb is low, too much forearm flex and they still weigh 32-34 ounces compared to most carbon customs that are 1/2lb less- On the flip side-- every MPR I've looked at, which I feel is every one that has come through Ray's, Scheels and Cabelas has been smooth as butter, the flat shoe trigger is great and that chassis doesn't come with all the 'baggage' that the Ridgeline does. Still lots of variables for your choices! What cartridge?? This choice which drives mag length issues and your intended use. I think the Hells Canyon LR is a heckuva rifle and it leaves a lot in the budget for glass. I also think that for $1800 (Ridgeline Price) I would get Tikka donor action, AG Stock (Altitude from Mesa) and a Proof Pre-fit and let it RIDE!!

What barrel / twist are you running and what velocity are you seeing?? The guys at blackjack said to expect 3350-3450 from a Wby--- which is incredible considering that is where I'm at with a 115 Berger right now.

    High BC, Fast Twist .257...

Only at 650' here in Texas but I plan to use this gun in the same manner as your 25SST. Our DA is often 3000+ because of the heat so I feel I can probably get a 128 stable enough... then when I'm in WY, CO, AZ above 5000' I think they will be golden. Did you have to throat ream your 25SST for the 128 HH? It looks to be 0.10" longer than the Blackjack!

Looks promising!!! Assuming this is going to be a hunting gun Lance? I'm still puzzled by their reamer and the reduced Weatherby Freebore-- haven't been able to get them to answer the phone at Blackjack. I'm concerned if I go with a 1-7T for the 128gr Hammers that I will overspin the 131 ACE. Just not sure if that reamer was designed for better accuracy or to reduce jacket separation at Wby velocities. My thought is a 7.5T Proof might be the way to go so I can use the 131 or go to 121HH. Now gotta sorta out the reamer.

    NM Unit 49 Elk

Have a veteran with access to a place to hunt but it sounds like there is a need for an outfitter for service disabled elk tags? Does that sound correct for NM? And does anyone have a lead on an outfitter who may understand the process or be able to assist?

    NEW NX8s ARE HERE!

The glass on the NX8 certainly holds it own with the ATACR at equal magnification settings, slight edge to the ATACR. Shot during the middle of the day so there wasn't much difference in terms of light gathering. Personally I like the magnification ring better on the NX8 and found the eye relief/eye box to be easier to get behind than the ATACR. I definitely like the Zero SET turret on the ATACR better than the Zero STOP on the NX8 but the clicks on each are GREAT. For the budget it is really hard to see much competing with the NX8!

    300 win mag load

For those looking at 300wm loads it seems the 215 berger and H1000 go together like hot wings and cold beer. I've been running 212 ELD-Xs with good velocity. I'd be most interested if guys have found anything good with the 225gr ELDM! To the OP- glad you found something that worked for you- what powder/charge weight did you settle on?

    6.5/.284

check ammo seek Nosler and HSM both make good factory ammo for this cartridge. There are also a number of "semi-custom" loaders like copper creek and choice.

    Scopes- Zeiss and Vortex

zeiss sold would trade the PST Gen 2 for left hand actions or rifles, high quality Remington wingmasters, etc

LEFT HAND Rem 700 KS, 7mm Rem Mag 24" magnaported barrel Stock and bluing near the muzzle show some wear but the inside of the barrel is pristine. Rifle doesn't fit a niche for me as I have a LH .257wby and a .300wm. $700 shipped to your FFL from private party
