Just wondering what has to be done if we were to donate a tag? Just weighing options. My son has an archery cow tag and doesn't seem to be taking it to serious. If I don't see him shooting his bow much this next week it might be getting donating because we aren't going to go out and wound an elk. He is on his last chance.

Do my best. Just let him know that we are taking a life we owe it the respect to do it as quickly as possible. Not out to wound animals.

I have never seen so many trail cams out before in my life! At least 5-6 cams on every tank that I have been too!! I'm not against them, but dang! It's like the paparazzi has now made it in the woods. That isn't just at a few tanks, that's at every tank I have been to.

Have hunted some of these areas for years and never seen so many on all the tanks. Might have seen 1 here and there but 5 on every tank. Makes me think something big might be in the area actually. I will say that while I do own them and support them, I don't support the ones that send pictures to your phone/computer. If you have a hunt and those are left out and sending you pictures alerting you in the middle of the night so you can know where to find them that morning, that doesn't seem like fair chase.

People die every year for doing dumb stuff. Doesn't matter if it's on a video or not. I've done things as a kid that I surprised I didn't end up in a hospital more often. You can take videos off the web all you want, kids and some adults will still attempt things that will possibly be fatal. Maybe we should just make a law that states we can't do anything that might hurt or kill us! That way we can eliminate just about everything! Problem solved!

It was a pack of wild coyotes going after wounded prey???? Give me a break. He committed a crime. He was the cause of this. Hope they don't get a dime.

Everything changes... Music, fashion, trucks, whatever. They older we get, the less we like how things are in the present. As I get older I find myself complaining about how things are. But in the end, I live in the best country in the world and no matter how much I can't stand certain things, as long as no laws are broken, they have a right to do whatever and hunt however they choose. All I can control is how I teach my kids about ethics and respect. I hunt with a select few that believe the same as I. If people choose to hunt horns, good for them. They worked for their money to buy their tags, equipment so go have fun. I know I will...

Never too early to scout. Don't have to be out just to scout elk but learning the unit. Knowing what is beyond the next ridge and things such as wallows that you stumble upon are priceless. Many honey holes are found just by hiking around the woods

Never hunted the depot but have hunted 6b. The elk jump back and forth between the the 2 so I would start looking on the southern part that borders 6b. There is a road the runs along the fence line that I have seen hunters walking. Also had helicopters fly overhead and mess me all up! Good luck!
