TTT $12,750 Smoother riding than a Ranger. Dump bed 600 lb capacity. -
Guess it depends on the type of hunter you are. If you are wanting to trophy hunt, this isn't the hunt for you. If you will take the first legal elk you see, it can be fun. I enjoyed the challenge. I am 2 for 2 on the late hunts. I sat water holes that were getting pounded and shot both bulls off them in the evening. I enjoyed having the woods to myself. Saw a few people scouting but nobody that was hunting. If you have lots of time to scout and find the elk, it can be productive. Not as fun as chasing bugles, but can be fun none the less. Just be prepared for cold and wind!

A Special December Hunt 2016
northAZarcher replied to couesloco's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Congrats to the both of them! -
To me, there is nothing better than the looks of a big typical 4 pt mule deer. My problem is that it is not my favorite to eat. Now that I have tasted coues, I will be even more confused about what to put in for!
-
Very nice! That's my dream buck! I love the look of a typical 4 pts! Had my chance up there and everything that could have went wrong on that hunt, did! Hopefully I will get one more cracking at the strip some day!

the least desirable archery hunts still take 8 points to get in the bonus. personally id rather wait a year or 2 and get 1 over 4a. but thats just me Honestly, I have never paid much attention to odds with BP. And things have been pretty good to me. In the last 6 years I have drawn 4 archery bull tags and filled 3 of them. The 4th should have been filled also but I screwed up lots of opportunities! Have had 3 antelope tags since 2007. Drew a strip tag with 2 or 3 bonus points. Is it luck? Heck if I know? But I won't complain! Keep them coming!

When your wife kills a bigger deer than you........
northAZarcher replied to tanclan4's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Pat yourself on the back if the wife kills a bigger buck! That makes you a dang good guide! And you know the wife has to give the guide a great tip! -
I used to put in for trophy units and wait years to get drawn. Then I realized there are good bulls in most units and I much prefer to hunt instead of sit on the sidelines!

Well, at least the judge was kind enough to allow him to pay 32,000 back in installments! That was awful nice of him!!!!

Who says size matters? A true buck of a lifetime!!!
northAZarcher posted a topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
This isn't my deer, but my buddy gave the ok to post it. To unique of a buck not to show it off. Never asked about if he wanted to post the story so for now, it is just pictures. I was there to watch this buck fall. I know a magazine has already been in contact with him about this buck. We have yet to turn up any info on any coues deer bucks that have been taken that are like this one. All the info we can find is that this happens in less than 1% of whitetail. So here it is, Arizona piebald coues deer! This is the coolest deer I have ever seen!- 26 replies

Stopped directv about 2 years ago. Was paying 120 a month! Put that money towards a side by side so I can spend time with the family in the woods. Not sitting on the couch. Netflix and hulu keep us entertained now.

Full bodies run close to $3000! They haven't worked out details yet. Full body or a rug is what he wants. -

He wants to do a full body mount. He just doesn't want the price tag that goes with that mount! They are crazy expensive! -

Yeah, he stood out. Could see him at 1000 yard away without binos. After they skinned him out, they laid the hide down on the ground and it was near identical on both sides of his body! -
Not until the age of 14 I believe? 10-13 need hunters ed for big game.

I've had it happen to me one time with a rifle. Told the seller I'd make the trip to pick it up. He told me he was headed part way to hunt and could meet somewhere in the middle. Plans changed a few times the next couple days then informed me that he decided to keep it for his kid. If you're not 100 percent sure of selling, don't post it. It wastes everyone's time and possibly messes up other potential deals.

Huge congrats! Very cool how it all worked out. So to be clear, the moral of the story is, if everyone has their fingernails painted like her, they to will have success!?
