I've had good luck using hsm ammo. I believe they load a 140 Berger for 7/08 -
I've got an 08 6 speed that's been great so far. I'm worried one day payson will have to do emissions testing.

Curtis I'm with you. After my diesel dies I think I'm going back to a gas truck. Like you said owning a diesel has become more of a hassle for little added benefit.

I use the Ozark trail tumblers from Walmart. $10 for a 30 and they are pretty much exactly the same as my yeti

Don't clean your guns in the driveway

Ordered mine tuesday and expected delivery is monday

Their website has a retail locator.

You mean $900 more including tax right? If you buy them new. With lifetime transferable warranty makes sense to buy used. Which is 1800-1900

I'm putting in unit 33 all 5 choices now!!

Are they easy enough to hand hold for quick scans as your are hiking?

Just seems like a pain. I can't decide if I want to upgrade my 15s this year to HD, which is a big improvement over the non HD swaros, or save longer and get 12s to wear in a chest rig and dual purpose them off a tripod. Having a spotter I would assume replaces the need for the extra 3 power.

I drink a few cans of keystone in the morning. Carb load

I got 2 65s for less than my yeti 45

Does it make sense to carry 10s 15s and a spotter? Would 12s and a spotter eliminate the double binos? I carry a spotter and 15s in my pack but want to be able to have something around my neck. 10s 15s and a spotter seems like a pain! Would 12s eliminate the need for 10s around your neck and 15s for tripod?

How long did it take from when you ordered it? Ahh I read it again and see you just ordered it..

Yes definitely verify. I think my stw barrel has sped up a little since I've got about 150 down the tube.

Both my rifles we did load developement during barrel break in. Both shot .5 groups. are you using factory firing pin and spring?

After all the craze settled down with the 6.5 creedmoor I decided to look into it a little more. The more I read the more I liked so Dad and I went in half on another semi custom. Started with a 1986 243 Rem 700 action that had never been shot. Put a Schneider poly 5r fluted barrel finished at 27". Small tactical bolt, HS vertical grip stock, shilen trigger, .250 recoil lug, talley rings, and a g7 nightforce 5.5-22x50 scope. Cerakoted black except for the action, the bluing was too perfect and my smith said I would be a fool to not show it off. Load development went well and 143 Eldx over h4350 at mag length is what she liked. Didn't have a chrono so I will have to validate drops to figure my final fps. Figured I would share. Not the best pictures and they will probably end up crooked.

42.5I bet with a 27" 1:8 twist and 42.5gr. under a 140-143, you are going to be 2850-2880 on virgin brass and new barrel. I bet it speeds up to close to 2900ish after it breaks in. I get 2840 w. 41.5gr. & 2940 w. 43.0gr. now out of a 27.25" Bartlein My barrel gained about 45fps once I had about 90-110 rounds down the barrel in my 6.5 SLR. My .260 pushing a 140 Berger HVLD w. 42.0 H4350 gets 2850 w. 26" Bartlein. Anything over 2800 is a bonus. Seems like these poly barrels spit em out a little faster from what I've seen and read. If only these power outages would stop and I could get off call so I can pull the trigger some. Thanks for the references lance.

Haha I've never touched a new trigger. General consensus is they aren't that great

Both my rifles have Schneider #5 contours. Both are fluted and ones 26" and the other is 27". I get buck fever pretty bad and I noticed the heavier the rifle the less movement I get from my heart beat and shaking hands. They finish at around 11.5-12 lbs with sling and bipod.

Yes it was a good factory trigger but after shooting my stw with a nice shilen, a factory trigger feels like it is 10 lbs!! The smith who built it had the action. He bought the rifle from an older gentleman a few months ago that bought the gun and stuffed it in the back of a safe.
