Recently bought a new set up from the guys at Ross Archery and I love it. I ended up with a hoyt nitrum turbo flinging 428g arrows 306 fps. Everyone at Ross was awesome and extremely helpful. Best customer service out of any of the pro shops I've been to. You can't tell who are regulars there or who are new guys wandering in,everyone gets the same treatment and respect. I'm ready for this Friday to get here already.

I'm located in the East Valley.

That's a pretty sweet deal.

I had the early cow hunt in 10 last year(mid to late October) and there were a few bulls still screaming early on but by the end of the hunt they were done.
-
I'm an east valley guy as well, just happen to work near their shop and stopped in to check out some grave diggers and that trip sealed the deal. I would still make the drive if I didn't work out there.

For those of you that wear the Sitka/Kuiu/First Lite/ Cabelas Instinct, do you notice any difference in them helping you stay cool in the heat? Hot is hot, especially here in AZ, so I was just wondering if they are as good and efficient as people say they are overall and helping you stay cooler than just a pair of wranglers? Most of the reviews I have read are people looking to stay cool in 65-80 degree temps, easy, we climb past that real quick in the desert. Thanks

Father in law is looking for a set if possible of garmin rinos. Midway has the 650 unit for 369.99 which seems like a good deal but I thought I would check here first. Thanks

12x50 vs 15x56-help me make my purchase
eagle#eyes replied to creed_az_88's topic in Optics and tripods
I got a good deal on the Swaro slc hd's. I tried to not look through them. With my eyes being so close together they were the most comfortable. I really liked the Conquest's also, but as close as i needed the eye cups it almost pinched my nose and just wasn't quite as good a fit as the swaro's. Like i had said earlier, i really wanted to try those euro hd's but cabelas never had them to compare or try. -

I just picked up a new set of binoculars and thought/looked long and hard and what you are talking about. The one thing about the Meopta/Cabelas Euro's 12x is they weigh almost the same as the 15's, if weight matters to you it's something to think about. I don't carry a spotter since I'm not much of a trophy horn hunter and probably never will be so I went with the 15's. The Cabelas Euros have the smallest FOV out of the 15's I looked at also(online at least, I couldn't get my hands on any to look through). Good luck with the search. -
I'm looking to upgrade my release and have been looking at the Spot Hogg Wise guy as well as the Tru-Fire Hardcore Release Max. If anyone has any input or experience with these or any other release I should take a look at, let me know. Thanks.

Are you selling the rifle/scope to fund the new one, or are you keeping your current set up and adding to it?
-
You can't really go wrong with any of these choices. You can throw the Razors in the mix as well. I looked through the Zeiss and Cabelas Euro HD's (Meopta) in the store and in those conditions you couldn't tell a difference. Have him put his hands on them and see what feels the and looks the best to him. You can probably find used Swarovski around that price too if you are patient.
-
I appreciate the input and experience, now I just need to get some time to go try these out for myself. Thanks
-
You can check rokslide.com also, they generally have tons of people selling camo on there.
-
Looks like good times.

i stopped by Ross Outdoors today briefly and shot the Spot Hogg. That's what i was told they all shoot and they prefer. I didn't have much time and wasn't able to compare it to anything, the trigger on it seemed light, to the point I wasn't sure if it was too light. I know the Tru-Fire you can adjust the tension, I was told you can adjust the Spot Hogg as well.
-
What was it you preferred over the Spot Hogg? Was it just because you were more comfortable with 10 years of use or was there anything specific that makes/made your Scott more comfortable?

He sent me a pm. I have some Cabela's gift cards that offset the deal he is giving By just enough that I'm holding off hoping someone can either talk him down in price, or someone will Offer another pair line the guy the other week for 1800 lol. Patience is a virtue right?
-
I'm ready to pull the trigger of anyone is selling then. They need to be the newest hd's with the narrow interpupilary distance for my close eyes. The older ones won't work. Thanks

That's a shooter in my book. I've caught coues fever and after my elk hunt I plan on trying to figure out unit 33 to find my first coues. Anything with a bone coming our of his head will be fair game for me.

Still looking...

I've also read positive reviews on other websites about Maven optics, never had my hands on them though. It looks like their smallest version is in your price range.
