Change is SO SCARY!! Of course your first instinct is to not like it because you're used to the old version. Give some specific feedback if there is something you'd like changed. Thanks for being progressive, and working to improve things, Amanda. I will say that at least for me, the current setup isn't quite "contrasty" enough. I also don't care for the camouflage background. Edit: just read how to switch themes.

Coincidentally my home state of Nebraska Game and Parks just released an "upland bird slam" this week as well. -

New Zealand stag is about the same as hunting freaky big whitetails in TX. Most of it is high fence, and pretty small estates considering the terrain. There are a few free range options, but unless it's concisely clear that youre hunt is free range, you're on an estate paying by the inch of antler. If you're good with that, the more power to you, but there is a lot of deception around this hunt. The history of those mutt islands and the game laws there are pretty interesting. I'm going in May on a DIY backpack hunt for tahr, on the South island. Chamois will be a lucky chance encounter too, along with wild red deer.

Looking for a gift for my Mother's 60th birthday. She's into minerals and crystals or would also like some antique turqouise jewelry like a bracelet or bangle. Can anyone in point me to a reputable shop or private collector in the Phoenix area to find her a gift? Or anyone on here have anything in their collections they might be willing to part with? Shes in the Midwest, so minerals from the SW are more exotic to her. Thanks

This could be perfect. Thanks, sir!

Thanks, but I wouldn't be able to make it there before her birthday - Monday

Right, that's why I'm asking for reputable information here and not going out looking for a bargain not having a clue. I know there is a lot of cheap "counterfeit" crap around. Thanks for passing along his info.

http://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/2018/07/30/nature-photographer-gets-license-for-wyomings-grizzly-bear-hunt-says-won-t-hunters-do-not-have-right.html Article doesn't say specifically, but I would guess he bought the tag in an auction/flooded the raffle, or there was some collusion with someone "on the inside" who doesn't agree with the opening of the hunt and wanted to bring more attention to the issue. If you don't know who this photographer is, I can almost guarantee you've admired one of his grizzly bear images before. Now he's siding with the anti's instead of the group (hunters) that funded (I would assume) a good piece of the conservation efforts that allowed these bears to exist at the populations they do now in their current US range. The same bears that he got filthy rich off of. I'm sure the tourist fees from Yellowstone/Grand Teton had a large impact as well, but this is just a slap in the face.

I can see why exotics that were imported from a different continent (hogs, tahr, auodad, ibex, oryx) would be fair game to take out. But I would argue that a North American game animal with conservation efforts in a neighboring state should be viewed differently. I realize that they were introduced in UT/CO. Moose are only addressed in definition of "cervid" in the regs, so does that mean its legal to shoot one if it wanders into AZ?

Have an axis buck cape in the freezer if anyone wants it. Wife's buck taken in TX first week of June 2017. I caped it off the skull and well past the shoulder (for wall pedestal) within two hours of killing it where it went right into a freezer, so its in good shape. Ended up just euro-ing the skull and antlers and thought I'd tan the hide myself like I have in the past, but at this point I'd rather just have it out of my freezer. Let me know.
