Heres the manual. I don't think there is an online tool/calculator out there that is going to give you what youre looking for. http://www.vortexoptics.com/uploads/web_manual_reticle_bdc-sfp-13a.pdf One easy way to get a rough estimate without blowing through a bunch of ammo would be to make visible marks on a board/paper at the bullet drop measurements indicated in the standard hornady ballistics chart and set your target out to each of the corresponding distances to see where the mark lines up on your bdc. The only way to know precisely thought would be to actually shoot groups at each distance.

Now I've heard it all.

Who's headed out this weekend
brademan76 replied to bonecollector's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
No luck in unit 1 this weekend. If you were the guy I talked to on the quad leading the truck full of hounds as my wife and I were dropping into the river canyon to look for bears, how did you guys end up? -
Sling may be your answer...lots of sports on 24/7 between all the ESPNs, PAC12, SEC and other networks. I use vpn for work too and not sure I understand the application being discussed here. Our work vpn is so slow no way I'd want to stream anything through it. A VPN should not be affecting your speed. You might have another problem. A VPN will slow down your speeds a little.

I use them, they are awesome. Even consider if they+your arms can take off 10% of each step you're hiking with a loaded pack, that adds up to a lot over time and might leave your legs back a little less worked at the end of a day. They make a great bipod as well.

Who's headed out this weekend
brademan76 replied to bonecollector's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
As of 8/17/17: Individual hunt female harvest limits reached in 23S. Annual female harvest limit reached in 6b. Who's still after it? I'm hoping to go kick around in unit 1 this weekend. Will have a rifle and bear tag just in case. Never been in the unit, will have the wife along just hoping for some good hikes and nice scenery. Will be keeping an eye on the weather and one out for snakes! -
I use PIA as well and it has been great. Even works on my Amazon Fire TV stick.

Anyone have experience in this world through your own business, or know someone or a company who does mobile app design/development? I can find plenty who do, but inquiring if anyone has any first-hand experience with someone they can recommend or not. Concept is connected to the outdoor arena, so if the company/person knows our world- even better. Thanks!

You can also download the google maps including "my places" for "offline" use and just use your phones GPS.

Never heard of it or tried it, but let me tell you about my Kuiu gear. Its numero 1 on all the charts, best thing I've ever had against my skin, except for the skin of another man.

Ready....Set.....Go....!!!
brademan76 replied to AZ_Native's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Oh hai! I'm always game for an upland bird excursion even if it is a stretch. Have bird-dog and will travel! Where you in the east or up north? I've always wondered if I just winged a band-tailed pigeon and it was otherwise healthy if I could breed it with racing pigeons and how their offspring would turn out as racers. -

Spot on n2horns. Activation at an early age is important no doubt, but the more important challenge is retaining those youth into adulthood, or re-activating them as they become independent and are prioritizing where their time and money are spent. The main folks to benefit from the additional youth opportunities are the parents, who have already decided that hunting is an important part of their lives, obviously hopeful that their children will have the same value. They get to make some great memories, but chances are that trophy will continue to hang in mom and dads house and will only be a reminder of a "previous life" to the children when grown up. If there was a way to channel those opportunities to bring new folks from a non-hunting background in, then I would be all for it.

Nice, I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm through Tucson. I just submitted an order for seeds for the 2nd garden planting of the year. Sun shade is ready, hoping the monsoon rains show up.
-
Have any of you guys ordered seeds through this website? I think I will be getting some tepary beans, maybe some squash and casaba as well as some heirloom tomato/peppers. http://nativeseeds.org/

Looks great! Was the plywood even necessary though? I would imagine those 1x6 would hold onto drywall (painted black) just fine? I'm not carpenter at all, just thinking out loud.

Its not UPS, its one person's lack of knowledge, aka incompetence- you'll find them in any line of work.

Sounds like a scam. I would never agree to a program like that.
