Any motorcycle guys want to help me win a contest???
mattys281 replied to mattys281's topic in The Campfire
Thank you gents. I figure if I can refer at least a hundred people, then my odds will be.... almost as good as getting struck by lightning. Its practically guaranteed! -
I swapped out the mods on my no cam for $35. I bought them and did it myself, takes less than 5 minutes. Ive yet to see a shop that works for free on stuff you didnt buy from them.

They send a confirmation email with a link you have to click on to enter the contest. you end up on their mailing list, so if you have a 'junkmail' address you use, you can give them that. Ive been on their list since we made parts for them a year ago and have only gotten maybe half a dozen emails. Small company trying to utilize social media to launch their product. Im not a big fan of that type of bike, but its small business and made in the USA. Im a big fan of both of those things. -

Thanks, I think I fixed it. At least it works on my pc.... -
Having seen one of those, I can tell you it's not the kind of thing you want to watch at dinner. It's the kind of thing you want to see after about 3 or 40 beers.

"Worst Pig Hunters in Arizona" Break Through
mattys281 replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Congrats on your pig! They can be dang tough sometimes. -
I would think that with the age and high likely hood of medical expenses, you may have a hard time placing her. Sad that you can't find a way to keep her, but kids have to come first. Maybe look into a lab rescue like this place??? http://www.dlrrphoenix.org/

Cool pics! I always find it amazing how much wildlife is living right amongst us and most people have no idea. Ive seen bobcats a couple blocks from my house and coyotes on my street. I guess theres still enough farm fields and brushy ditches out here that they can hide out in. The one that most impressed me though is that there used to be a fox living in the 10in. Wide gap between the shop I used to work at in tempe and the next building over. On priest and southern, nothing even close to wilderness or even a park around there.

Mathews no-cam. Smoothest shot delivery I've ever had, but I did not shoot 20 different bows for comparison before buying it. If you're going to test drive a few anyway, I'd shoot one of these and see how the concentric string track feels.

Outstanding buck! Congrats.

I skipped it the last 2 years over time constraints, but the schedule looks good enough to where I could put in this year. With 6 points, I hope I draw an early tag, but will be happy with a 4th or 5rh choice late hunt too. If not, then its another trip to Nebraska, probably for archery antelope. Either way, I've got a good year ahead!

Ive mostly worked trailcams in 27 and 24b, two vastly different units. In both it seemed like the activity dropped off considerably after the rain started, but I only ran cameras yearlong a couple times. After I had a few get 'rehomed' during the rifle hunts, I had to admit that my secret spots were not so secret after all and started taking them down after the early archery hunts. I did notice that coues deer definetely are more dedicated to them then muleys. Ive seen it year after year in 27, you can have muleys all over them through the spring and into summer, but once the does break up the herd and drop their fawns, the bucks vanish into thin air. It took me a few years to figure out that this is because I was in the nursery and nature has programmed the bucks to skidaddle and leave that area to the does and their fawns. Coues deer do not do that.

Thats awesome hoghunter. Congratulations to your family!

Me too. Always have trouble passing up the easy ones.... are we still talking about deer? I had a great season. Didn't get to hunt quite as much as I wanted, got rained out a couple times. The nice days were real nice though. My daughter had never even seen a buck during hunting season, and she saw a bunch of them with me and my hunting partner this season. Including the biggest live muley I've personally ever laid eyes on. Never got closer than 140 yards, but in 3 encounters we got a few really good looks at him. Sure hope he makes it through til next year.

We'll be thinking about you. Im sure your wife is pretty nervous and worried, so now its your duty to be the solid rock she can lean on. Money worries can wait for tomorrow, today you celebrate the birth of you son!

Way to go! Good lesson to learn right out of the gate, just keep going even when it seems hopleless. Congrats to her!

Welcome back. Thats quite a list of adventures, I look forward to the pics.

Awesome buck, you cant let a guy like that walk. You'll have a great time in kansas, sounds like a win win to me.

I'm quite a ways away from you, but if you're on the west side of town for any reason you can bring it to my place and I can gage it and tell you exactly what the thread is.

I don't work on other people's vehicles, but you're more than welcome to drive your truck and your 30 pack over here and talk about 6a for a while. I'm a great listener....

If you pay peanuts, you have to work with monkeys. You guys are braver than me, I wouldnt trust walmart to rotate the wheels on a skateboard much less something I'll be driving 80mph in.
