. There were 14-15 candidates running. Including some very conservative ones. The people picked Trump. Second place was Cruz. Two guys the establishment hates. That is a good sign to me. Amen to that. As far as im concerned there should be no such thing as a career politician. Term limits on every elected position.

You been down at the bar hoggin again? I haven't been going, I alread have 2 hogs on rotation at the moment. you want to go to denim later or what? Nah, my hoggin days are over. Im married and settled down. But feel free to forward some pics so I can live vicariously through you. Please don't. I still have images burned into my skull from other pics posted on here. this one girl i was seeing, nice body but face....only a mother could love. If that's any kind of a problem for you at all, that's a sure sign that you're not drinking enough beers after work.

No. I may have heard before and just forgotten - how long has this been floated? Something new? They sure do look alike. its been out for a while just kept quiet i guess. i stumbled on it today some how lol. How great would that be to see slick willy jump up and start dancing around when jerry springer opens the envelope and says, "the results are back.... and they say.... she is NOT your child!"

In advance - all respect and no offense intended. Do you still get to work with Americans? You're lucky. And I'm shocked because most of the Americans I know are extremely hard workers and don't have that sense of entitlement. Quite the opposite. Its others that seem to feel entitled and have no American values. Sorry - I'm not voting for idiocy for the next 4. I hope you are not either. Lonne After about 6 years as the GM of a 40+ person aerospace shop, I stepped down from my position last year and went to a smaller company where I'm now employed as an engineer/cnc programmer. A big part of my decision to leave was due to burn out on years of dealing with people. We had some good guys that were dependable as could be, but there were plenty of others that were not. Without getting into too much gritty detail, let's just say my observation is the split is probably about 50/50 between people that actually give a poop and want to do a good job and the people that don't care and do the bare minimum to just not get fired, and then are shocked when they don't get a raise at the year end review. And this 50/50 is among the people that are actually working. Add on the unemployed and life long welfare recipients and the 'don't give a crap, just give me money' number goes waaaaaaaaaaay up. But that's just my observation, having been in charge of a relatively small business. The silver lining as I see it though is this: in the 12 years since I moved to Phoenix, my income level has gone up almost 800%. I attribute that almost entirely to the fact that there's not much competition. I don't have to be smarter or work harder than every other person, I just have to work harder than about 20%, because that's all the more that actually show up on time every day anyhow. I will certainly be voting for Trump this fall. He's far from a perfect candidate, but he is certainly the one that I think will do the most for those of us that sweat and want to get ahead.

Agreed, but everything you just mentioned is people related. Chit bags voting for chit bags that appoint chit bags to the court. the system is fine, its the peoeple in the system that are broke. People actually villify successful people now. 'Their taking advantage of us!' They scream. Really? Its the victim / entitlement mentality through and through. You want to fix this country, quit giving kids trophies just for showing up, and stsrt telling them that being successful/rich is not a bad thing, but just the opposite: its fricking awesome! I think hillary is the most evil, corrupt, despicable thing I've ever seen in my lifetime and absolutely abhor the thought of her winning, but she, and her ilk, are not the sickness. They're the symptom. Politicians have been corrupt vote panderers since before rome had its first senate meeting a couple thousand years ago. Socrates wrote about corruption. This is nothing new. Our country founded on entrepreneurship and formed specifically to encourage capitalism is what was new, but the common mentality is not conducive of that anymore. Or was it ever? Hippies. Hobos. Theres always a portion that doesn't bother to do for themselves.

I dont believe anyone ever will be able to'fix' this country, because frankly I dont think its broken. Our government is still operating just fine, as it was intended. The problem is that the american psyche is broken. Entitlement, laziness, and a complete lack of personal responsibility are the most common traits now, and our elected representatives do represent that, dont they? America doesnt need fixing, Americans do. This country is still the best deal going if a person wants to have the opportunity to work their butt off and get ahead. Im doing it. So are many of you that work two jobs, or start your own business, or invest in your education to further yourself. Just keep at it, hope and pray for better days, vote for what you think is best, and be prepared to ride out the dips. Warren buffet said, "I like to invest in companies that are so good even an idiot can run them, because sooner or later, one will." Thats the united states. We just survived 8 years of idiocy, and the odds are good we have another 4 ahead.

    Hidden gunsmiths?

Ive been kicking around the idea of doing a barrel myself for my .308, but just havent had the time. If I do, I'd bor it anyway. I hate reamers. Their ok if you are using manual equipment or for very small holes, but with cnc equipment I'd rather bore it. That way I can start small and just keep offsetting the machine .0001" at a time until you hit the exact size you are after. With a reamed hole, you're at the mercy of the tool grinder. Most are very good, but theres a quality difference from brand to brand and they all have tolerance. Unless you have mics to check it before use, you'll never know where your reamer is until after you cut with it. In the long run, its probably cheaper/safer to just pay someone to do it, but I get a kick out of doing things myself. We've recently made a bunch of really awesome prototype machine gun parts at work I wish I could show off some pictures of, but we have nondisclosure agreements. the bolt carrieris the Mona Lisa of my career so far. This thing started as a 27# slug of steel and ended up being a 1.1# geometrical nightmare. I dont think I've ever taken that much material off a part. Really cool looking. We built the carrier, bolt, firing pin, feed tray, round guides, breeches and a bunch of other parts for this chain gun thats supposed to fire a minimum of 500 rounds per minute of .50bmg.

    Hidden gunsmiths?

Ever think about trying it yourself? Get a dvd on chambering, by the reamers and gages and come on over, I've got the lathe. But I dont work on weekends without the 'customer' bringing a 24 pack of coronas with them.

    AR15?

Contact speedygoss. He just opened a machine shop. If hes not an ffl than he cannot finish machine a lower for somebody else. You can only do it for your own personal use. We just had some work at our shop get sent to someone else due to this fact.... and they did terrible work. There are jigs available for you to finish it yourself with a hand drill, there was a couple guys selling them at the crossroads gunshow when I went a couple years ago.

    Unit 27.

didnt see a single hound hunter up top where i was on my hunt. they were everywhere in the low country. got nothing against them, I am just hunting another way. This was 2 years ago so maybe things have changed. Ive never ran in to one up top either. I only hunt it north of the rim.

    Stolen Bows

Any crime committed against a person trying to earn an honest living is just crappy. there's no good in it. But.... Twice in one week? There's more than a little humor/irony in that. File an insurance claim, beef up your security system & write it off as one of life's crappier lessons. Theses guys are just giving you all a little good natured ribbing. If that's as thick as your skin is, you ladies probably ought to avoid not only internet forums, but also construction sites, machine shops, police stations, fire houses, military bases, bars, sporting event... you know, basically any where that men hang out. Don't go all Lark on us.

Tree Stand: Hang On or Climber for AZ

Hang ons are pretty easy, just practice a little. The main problem with packing them in is the weight. Treestand + ladder steps + harness.... If your packing in anyway, make sure you take it in & drop it off before your hunt. You could easily end up with an 80+ lb. pack if you take it in at the same time as all your camping gear & hunting stuff. 1-2 mile range isn't terrible for making multiple trips. You don't want to get all sweated up before hanging out in a tree all day and have the wind blow your b.o. all over the place.

Man that sucks. I hope they catch the p.o.s. thats responsible. I just dont get people.... who the heck would steal a hoyt???

Tree Stand: Hang On or Climber for AZ

If I have a choice in the matter, i like mine positioned so that the deer walks past me and I get a quartering away shot. Easier to draw and not get busted if they're facing the other way. In theory.... that yet to happen. Alll the deer I've shot out of a treestand so far came from the wrong direction. Bit one of these days itll go exactly as planned, and itll be pretty awesome.

Tree Stand: Hang On or Climber for AZ

If youre looking to pack in, forget the treestand and jump on ebay or archerytalk and find yourself a tree saddle. They can be used in any tree and are 1/4 the weight of any treestand, plus it doubles as your safety harness. I hunted out of these in nebraska last fall and they are the chit when it comes to light weight & mobility. I hear they no longer sell them new, so you'll probably have to find a good used one.

    Unit 27.

Ive seen a lot of bears in the northern half of that unit. Only ever had one shot at one and I missed, but its a heck of a good unit to hunt them in.
  24. mattys281

What do you think about this?

Not a fan of that at all. When I lived in superior and used to drive back and forth to tempe for work every day I saw a couple deer v semi incidents that looked just like that. I like my trophies to remind me of the animal and the thrill of seeing and being close to them, this would make me think of deer pancakes pressed flat by a 50k lb big rig.

Tree Stand: Hang On or Climber for AZ

I have both. The climber is infinitely essier and faster to setup, not to mention much more comfortable, but the hang on is good for when there are no climber friendly trees around. Im a little rusty with hang on stands now, but back before I bought my climber I got pretty good at throwing them up in trees and could get one setup in about 15-20 minutes depending on the tree. Best tip I can give you on a hang on is they are a nightmare to try to hold in position when you are standing on treesteps 12 ft off the ground held up by a linemans belt. I dang near fell out of a couple trees when I first started. So what you do is take a short length of rope up with you and a carabeaner clip so you can tie the rope around the trunk or a branch or something and then haul up the stand and clip it to the rope so it is hanging and you dont have to support its weight. Then you have both hands free to ratchet strap it and adust it into the position without supporting its weight. Believe me, a fifteen pound treestand may not seem heavy on the ground, but they suddenly become huge, heavy and akward when you're suspended in a tree. Whatever equipment you get, make sure you take it camping with you and practice setting it up and shooting from it before season. You dont want any surprises (like creaks or squeeks) when your buck is standing broadside at 20 yards or less.
