More rules and restrictions? No way Sorry man, we have no choice. Everybody knows that when a person does something that is already illegal, the only way to make sure it never ever happens again is to pass more laws (which are to be referred to as 'common sense measures') there by making the previously mentioned, already illegal action, now extra-illegal. And if that doesn't work, you need more laws to make it super-duper-extra-illegal. It's for the children! You scored twice for me today. Wife wanted to know what exactly had me laughing out loud at the internets.

If you arent sold on tongue, go to your favorite hole in the wall taco shop and order the Lengua plate. It has the flavor/consistency of the best pot roast you have ever had. The flavor only gets better when you go to the original organic. Par boil in salty water for 15-20 minutes whole. Pull and let rest for 10 min and I recommend a dip in an ice bath. Peel outer layer and slice into medallions. In a oven safe pot, brown tops and bottoms of the medallions in a small amount of oil. Remove the medallions and set aside. In same pot state your favorite ratio of onions, carrots, celery and mushrooms. I throw in thyme, garlic, bay leaves and sometimes 3-4 crushed juniper berries. When the veggies get a little soft I throw some tomato paste in and stir to coat. Deglaze with a 1/2 of wine. Put the medallions in right on top of the veggies and add beef stock and wine until only the top third of the meat is poking out. Put the lid on and throw in 325 degree oven for at least 2 hours. I pull it and check fluid and tenderness around 1.5 hours. You will know. You can treat the braising liquid however you want to create the sauce for serving. Sometime all I do is pull the thyme sticks and bay leaves, throw the veggies in the blender with a little of the liquid and then mix it all back together.

I do most of my skinning with a couple of custom knives with drop points similar to the Saddle Mountain. Skinning with a Havalon was just as fast/easy. I have had skinning knives with a similar blade profile to the Hidden Canyon and it felt clunky. Hope this helps.

Copped a squat on some Spanish Dagger and this is the aftermath? Is that deer laughing at you?

Anybody try RL26 in .260
Allforelk replied to azhuntnut's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I was running 57.0gr RL26 in my fire forming loads in 6.5 SS behind a 142 SMK and getting 3155fps. Same load is getting me 3120fps with a 150 SMK. Deer magic! Yikes! Too fun. Stop making me theory craft... please? I cant afford another build right now. The divorce would put the price tag out of reach. -

48gr with three shot group avg of 2999 FPS? Those are 6.5x.284 numbers with a Creed! Crazy man, just crazy. You have to burn around 12 more grains of powder to get an extra 2-400 fps out of the SAUM and its variations. -
Jealous. Great Bull. Love the warriors.

Sako 75 , should I customize it?

Strong action and a great round in a platform that has a reputation for accuracy. I think I heard someone mention that you should SHOOT IT! -
Great read and Congratulations!

Lol. Had a wrestling coach in Jr High that liked to sneak the first two practices in the week prior to deer opener. He received a note of apology from me hand delivered by my best friend. My punishment was to wrestle off all the basketball tryout washouts that came to the wrestling room. It was a win-win for me. Kill a deer, pin some fish...

Im confused. Are you looking for projectiles or loaded rounds?

Now THAT is how you solicit an invitation.

Sorry, pic did not upload first try.

Looks similar to the goat on the left. He fooled me on opening morning and I found out later his daddy was killed by an archer the week prior. 73 1/8". Still one of He tastiest animals on earth in my opinion and a good looking addition to the wall.

Outstanding! Quite a delicious looking trophy for the young hunter. Congratulations to you both.

Make all the kids quill pens. It might land you a divorce though, proceed with caution.

Good looking bull man! Congrats

You have nailed it. This is not hunters but shoot bag meth heads who have found out during hunting season to cruise around and look for easy pickings .Need to bait them and sit back in the trees with a ball bat. Knock a few more teeth out and bust a knee or 2 Carve thief into their forehead so everyone else knows what they are. Carve it backwards right under the first so they read it every time they look into a mirror.

Cow tag? Don't bother with a call unless you are using it to stop a moving animal. Find elk, steady cross hairs, wrap tag and ground process animal.

Is there any way you can post the exact GPS coordinates and possibly a Google maps overlay with the fastest route to area possible?

In the macadamias... fight hobbled for a partial round every round. I would watch then.
