I agree on the toughness. The crappy shot resulted in her being 3 legged with a drag. I learned how to sift out tufted pine needles and pinpricks of blood on dry ground. I will say that a white gas lantern will be on every hunt I go on until we are robbed of the opportunity. It showed a weird level of detail I couldn't see in darkness with a propane lantern or 90's era flourecent lantern.

I watched elk change behavior this year. It almost makes me think we have a tough winter coming. Try and seek benches and lanes with oaks. I saw more acorn studded elk shite than I have in a lot of years. I don't know 19a from driving the highway but I hope this helps. Good luck and shoot straight.

I have a boxer/healer mix. Hands down the best/smartest/kindest dog I have ever had. If you mixed a healer with a chihuahua, I would probably be in. If anyone here that knows me and shows this post to my wife I need you to know we are gonna wrastle.

We tracked a cow from the East side of Red Knoll to where she dropped off into Sycamore. She was shot by a dirtbag, who has never been invited back to our camp, on the last day of the hunt with 15 minutes remaining of legal shooting light. He pulled a 60 yard, offhand shot and nicked the femoral artery. We tracked until 4:30 in the morning when we lost sign. Went back to camp, ate hot dogs and slept until 6:30. When we went back to the spot where we quit, we followed the coyotes to where they had harassed her off of the edge. We had to rig ropes, semi repel down about 60 feet to the ledge where she had landed and discovered she was still alive. I handed this guy my 686 and he finally put an end to it. We had to trim down the brush to make a lane so the anchor on top, my father, could row the quarters up with us pushing from behind. A misplaced step by my uncle had him falling backwards onto a freshly cut 45 degree stump. A can of Copenhagen might have saved his life but left a wicked target shaped bruise. We used way points on the available GPS unit at the time and marked it against maps. Without accounting for the zig-zags she pulled, she traveled just under 12 miles. Edit: I should point out that this was a late cow hunt in Unit ?. My 686 was on my hip when I was younger and in the woods😎

Kill out early and head over to Kino Bay. Someone told me(it was me) the turtle soup is outstanding. Also try the ceviche de pulpa. The octopus out of those waters are crazy tasty for some reason. I don't know if they beat the heck out of them, but they are crazy tender too. Could be an amazing cast and blast...Google Bahia de Kino for pics.

Also, is it proprietary brass? Has it already been necked down from a parent cartridge? I would assume the powder charges published would produce some serious pressure.

I had to look it up, but I can't find any published case dimensions. I'm not familiar with any of the Lazzeroni cartridges. I know someone on here was talking about a warbird some time ago, maybe they will chime in. Post a link if you have one of case dimensions if you have one.

I love this! I would definitely not be where I am without my pops. I can't even tell that grumpy cuss I'm thinking about buying something anymore if I actually want to purchase it. I had to sit him down a couple years ago over a bottle of whiskey and tell him to spend his dang money because I don't need it and he's not going to be buried with hit. Kudos to all the dads out there that have inspired the passion for our shared love.

I have one I really like from Cabela's that clips onto the bill of a hat. Not sure if that's what you're looking for. It's push button and has two different led brightness levels with the third option of 2 led green bulbs. I've abused it and it keeps running. It was really expensive, like 9.99. I've had it for some years now.

I wonder if the 90 degree thing has to do with long legged mommas and flat rocks...

How much powder do you have in that case? Zeke. I'm running 61.5 grains. Norma brass, federal 215 primers. I love it. I am doing a 6.5 GAP4s for my next build. Zeke, check out the load data on it. There's a great thread on Snipers Hide carried over/re-started by a guy calling himself Bob L Swagger. Same cartridge as the 6.5 saum with the shoulder blown out. Hornady is making cases with the GAP 4s headstamp and these guys are claiming crazy barrel and case life with the lower pressures.

Yelp gives their office staff some pretty low reviews. I go to the same place and see Dr. David Gannon. He is a fellow hunter that I have known all my life. The front desk ladies are not the friendliest but the PA's and nurses are really good. Very rarely have I run into a good doctor that has friendly front line staff. These people have to sift through a lot of B.S. everyday so the PA's and Docs can do their jobs. Also, how many people that use Yelp religiously would you ask for personal advice?

Normally my go to answer is Leupold for these threads. I recently shot a AR with a Burris 1-4x24 on it and was really impressed. Burris will shave a few bucks off of the Leupold I would recommend and keep it within your expected budget. Are you accustomed to Mils or MOA?
