Glyphosate won’t work this time of year as a foliar spray for oleander. Too cool and not actively growing but cutting it to ground level, drill and fill the holes with undiluted glyphosate will kill the stumps. Drill about 1” apart and half inch in from the outer edge of the trunk and a few holes more toward the center for good measure, fill the holes and you’ll kill the stump. This works for most anything

For a good tamale that’s about the right price. Before my dad passed, our family tradition in the fall was to make real green corn tamales. Homemade ground white corn masa, roasted, skinned and seeded green chile and cheese. For the work involved, I’d have to get $60 a dozen. I mean just to grind and make the masa was a ton of work!

People usually bitch about the cost of tamales until they make em themselves!

This whole conversation is crazy to me. I think you guys who are crying “fair chase” think that lions are an endangered species maybe because they haven’t seen one? If this ban goes through we probably won’t have to worry about our hunting rights being taken away. The game we hunt will disappear. This country is full of lions and when they aren’t controlled, the deer, elk, antelope,pigs etc. will be cleaned out! I’ve seen it happen in the area I live and hunt in. When the hounds men started working on them, the whitetail and javelina came back. Night and day!

I’ve killed 3 lions in my home range and not behind dogs. I’ve been invited by the 2 hounds men I know to go on pursuits but I’ve declined because I’m honestly afraid I’ll fall out of the saddle in the wicked country they go after them in. I just wish they’d kill more of what they catch rather than play with them!

My best advice would be Don’t let the old man in! I fight this as well. Pretty much why I’m not going to retire any time soon even though I could. Too many friends of mine quit work and don’t understand why with so much time on their hands they can’t get anything done and admit that they used to camp, hunt and fish more when they were working. Loss of momentum. Good luck!
