I have this same can in 358 bore. Rex cans work well. I also have a 45 bore can(DA Primal) that I use on my 9mm too. The 45 cal is slightly louder than my 358 can but since I use them on PCC's the difference is negligible. On a pistol they sound similar too but the Rex can has a large body so even with suppressor height sights it is hard to see around. If you have a red dot it isn't an issue.

Take a look at Mack Bros. I went down the same rabbit hole and got a donor rifle for 200 cheaper than their action. By the time I had the barrel spun off and a little work done to it I had spent more than the MB action. That's with me installing the barrel and buying the go/no go gauges and setting head space myself. Ended up with a stock 700 action that was not as nice as the MB action. In my hypothetical experience.... They can ask, if they have a reason (turkey feet) than they can search you or your belongings. If they have reasonable suspicion yet want to cover their bases, they can "detain" you while they get a search warrant and search you anyways. Best option is don't do things that give them reasonable suspicion or probable cause....hypothetically.

Unconverted, local, I would say around 800 is fair. Little bit more with the ammo but not much more. That seems to be the going rate the last year at least. If these other guys are finding them for 1/2 that please let us know where and I will buy 10 of them. Let us know if you are interested in selling it.
