    First AZ archery deer

Been chasing deer in Arizona with my bow for more than half my life, never been able to connect until yesterday. My first coues in nearly 10 years. Very grateful to share the experience with my parents, couldn’t have gone any better - 48 yard shot, buck expired in sight. Already looking forward to doing it again January 1st!

    First Archey Bull

Spent the last few days up north chasing bugles. I’ve killed a bull before with a rifle and killed a cow with a bow so not necessarily a stranger to elk hunting but far from seasoned. Lots of failed attempts, long hours sitting trails, miles walked. In the end it came down to me and an ancient bull mixing it up one on one in the timber. Our paths so happened to cross and a single arrow put him down quickly. I believe he will easily qualify for P&Y, making him the first “book” animal I’ve ever taken. Couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! Side note - I knew he was “old” but after getting a look at his teeth I was hoping maybe someone with more experience could chime in with an age estimate!

    First Archey Bull

I sat the same trail a majority of the time, my dad and some family friend have killed lots of elk on that trail and I killed my cow there last year. The day I killed my bull I had sat the trail for like 8 hours and I said “f this” and went to chase bugles. Worked out

    Tikka T3X 6.5 Creedmoor

Selling my beloved Tikka 6.5. Upgraded to the same rifle in 300 win mag so the 6.5 sees little use. Vortex Diamondback tactical 4-16x44 FFP scope in MOA with the EBR-2C reticle. Vortex precision matched rings, mountain tactical 20 MOA receiver length base. Anarchy outdoors bolt handle and titanium bolt knob. Tikka 5 round mag. Scope needs to be zeroed. The rifle is boringly accurate, typically producing 1/2 MOA groups with the Hornady precision hunter ammo. Everything I have settled the crosshairs on has not survived. Approximate round count is 262 down the tube. I will include all brass that has ever been fired through the rifle. MSRP on everything comes in right at $1700, but for $1250 it can be yours. Located in east Tucson.

  25. Looking for recommendations for a good smith in Tucson. I have 2 Tikka rifles that I need threaded 1/2-28 to accept a suppressor QD mount. I also have a rifle that needs 4” of barrel removed then threaded 1/2-28 as well. Any recommendations are appreciated, I would like to use someone reputable as 2 of these rifles shoot <0.5 moa with regularity. Thanks!
