Got the gun boot installed. Super happy with how it went! All I need now is a winch a jack and a fire extinguisher.

    Hunters Safety Field Day?

Last time I posted about a field day, one of the instructors that frequenced this site told me that there was a class upcoming for flagstaff. This was like a year and a half ago but they do happen! I'm sure he will reach out to you like he did to me.

Let's see those side by sides!

After I drop my boy at school, I'm loading up the razor and taking it to my buddy's house to see if we can get that Colton gun boot attached to my roof rack. I'm hoping so but we shall see. I definitely want to use something like that instead of the gun bag but the gun bag would suffice in a pinch.

I'm not mad at that either. Have any other angles?

Let's see those side by sides!

Thats what I had on my Ranger, and while it carried the gun and protected it from dust, I feel as though it didn't offer much actual protection. However, thag might be the way I go if I can't get the gun boot attached to the rzr.

  17. This year yielded an alarming low number of bucks, let alone mature bucks. This is spanning from October deer hunt, November deer hunt, and four days spent chasing pigs with my son. I am genuinely concerned about the number of bucks seen, this is as bad as it has ever been. There was a big fire in one of my spots so I definitely take that into consideration, however my two other main spots don't see much pressure, nor were they effected by the burn. One spot was a completely dry hole, the other we saw a couple of mature bucks, but not nearly the norm. Has hunter success gotten to the point where it is having a meaningful impact on overall coues numbers, or was the summer THAT bad that the horn growth was extremely affected? What did everyone else see on their hunt? A big thing we noticed (besides the overall lack of bucks), was what appeared to be a missing age class. We saw little bucks, or decent bucks. IF I recall, we only saw one or two in the 60-80" range.

    Are coues deer in trouble?

About 5 years ago and one of my spots, which is my best spot, my buddy and I last 22 bucks between 70 and 80 in. One day I had a buddy of mine set up on a 115 and he didn't get it. An hour later my other buddy killed a 108 and just moving 45° where we were glassing. And this year in that same spot we couldn't find schit. Just observations and conversation my guy.

    Are coues deer in trouble?

It's not that I didn't kill. It's what I didn't see while trying to kill one.

Reliable mobile mechanic, or any somewhat skilled member?

I am glad Hunter did not come all the way down here. My cousin and I fixed it. It was not the power steering box... The hose from the pump to the gear box came loose. A few simple right turns and fill er with juice and good to go!

    Are coues deer in trouble?

I was part of the solution in 2023, and didn't kill schit!

    Are coues deer in trouble?

Even if it's say 20%, but with 2,000, over all tags, that's a lot of bucks killed. Not to mention the hit and lost/not recovered deer.

    Antelope 15 points

I have 22 here in Az and 11 in Wyoming. I actually put in last year, one of two out of staters with 10 points to apply for the tag, and I was the unlucky one.

    Safe storage of stuff

Becareful, hiding assets during a split can be a nasty (and illegal) hole to go down.
