Soloist here. I really enjoy all aspects of hunting. There’s a time to go it alone and times with close friends

I’m not a counselor or a therapist. But if you need an another someone to talk with I’m here. only thing I can share is. You can come out on top of all of this. I promise you that. Set some goals and make time for yourself get your bearings and get moving on a better you. Sounds cliche af but you are capable.

At a minimum run a pilot on this in a unit and if it is not working well big deal.

I think this will deter putting in 2nd cousins distant aunts and uncles. One car payment for an elk tag- w 1/2 of the hunters in the field. Yes please If 800 applicants draw that year they are out for next 2 years. So by year 2 1,600 less apps will help the next folks in line.

It would be a sacrifice but the end result would be worth it

I took a snapshot from google earth and outlined the unit. I transposed 200 red dots to account for 200 bull elk tags. Multiply the 200 hundred tags 6.5 (think creedmoor) times and this will account for the issued tags from the department. For bull elk only. now I am an avid hunter and enjoy the out doors as much as the next guy. But man this can’t be any good for long term or the natl forests.

Maybe raise the price of elk tags and have a cool down after a hunter draws. 1 yr Same money generated greater odds for bp holders and less folks in the hills during the hunt.
