Sweet! That is awesome.

Great rifle. Where are you located? I picked up one of the Lazzeroni Patriot several years ago which is the short mag version if the Warbird made by Savage. If you decide to sell the rifle I would be very interested.

Hands down the 15s. I think the bigger the magnification the bigger the difference between the high end optics and everything else. I have the 15X swaros and 10X meoptas and couldn't be happier.

Awesome, congrats

I can attest for Ernesto on that rifle shooting lights out. I shot my buck the first time I went to Mexico with that rifle.

That is funny. It would have been really funny if the second picture was taken about 30 minutes after the first one instead of 1 1/2 days later.

Awesome, the name is fitting.

Like others have said, if you want to hunt elk in Arizona you can almost every year. If fact with the OTC tags they have you can. You may not kill a monster but you can hunt (and there is that chance). Some of us would rather wait a bit and build some points to draw a real trophy hunt. I think Arizona has a decent mix of both. And you never know you may get lucky and draw that trophy hunt with only a couple points.

I just drew the 12AW tag this last year with a buddy of mine. We saw tons of deer, had a great time and both ended up shooting nice bucks. As big as the unit is you will still run into other hunters. Now if you put in and happen to draw the late tag that is a different story. Then you are talking about shooting a really nice buck and passing normal sized bucks.

Can anyone quantify the advantage of 50mm vs 40mm objective
AZbowhntr replied to apache12's topic in Long Range Shooting
I lost getting a lion a couple years ago because of not being able to see it through my scope. I could see it clearly with my 56's but when I tried to find him in my rifle scope it was too dark. He was down in a canyon and it was difficult to see. After that I have started switching my scopes over to 50mm and couldn't be happier. I had just enough clearance that I didn't have to replace rings or anything. -
Glassing with a legend - DuWane Adams Glassing Class
AZbowhntr replied to CatfishKev's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
"Let me tell you something son." I can't tell you how many times I have heard that sentence. I took his class several years ago and was able to even hang out and look through a few of his photo albums of several of the great bucks they have taken over the years. Great guy with more knowledge than I could imagine. We always stop in and say hi when we are up in the Kaibab during the hunts at their camp. -
Nice mount. If I remember correctly I sold you the bullets that killed that bull. So I feel like I had a little to do with the killing of it.

Archery kill or maybe poach?
AZbowhntr replied to cbarber13's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
The carcass of my buck I shot in Mexico in January was completely gone in two days. We watched the coyotes devour everything including the spine from the next ridge over I can't imagine that a dead buck here could make it that long without the coyotes finding it. That's what they do. I would think something fishy was going on. -
Like 270 said they were not very good at art. Apparently they failed that class in school. I think I could have done better blindfolded. I think it is cool to see though.

Arizona Elk Society - 2016 Banquet March 19, 2016

By pitching in and getting a table you also get some raffle tickets. Plus you are sitting with some fellow CWT guys (or gals). I have done it most of the years that we have had tables. I would be interested if there is enough interest again. -
I had to remove all of the tile flooring in my house when I bought it. I was having stained concrete floors done so I did the removal and the company that did the concrete came in and used a big grinder to get rid of all of the mortar and smooth off the floor before they applied their thin set to stain. It wasn't too bad that way.

Close and personal encounter with a javelina this year!
AZbowhntr replied to Capt. Don Martin's topic in Javelina
Sounds like quit the adventure. I shot my archery javelina at 3 yds one year. My friend was standing behind me calling and it was charging right at him. I was on one knee at full draw and just released the arrow as he ran by. What was crazier is that as soon as I shot that one I noticed another javelina about 20 yds away and I started calling and it came running run and my friend shot it. It was an intense minute. -
The system is working flawlessly right now. Just put in a bit ago with no problems. It doesn't start crashing until tomorrow morning.

Watched someone shoot a front leg off a buck this year on the Kaibab. It was just hanging by skin when it gave them the slip. we waved the hunters down from the next ridge trying to walk them in on where it went. Once they got on the trail we took off. Never heard a shot so apparently it got away. I was amazed at how well they still travel with only 3 legs.

Here is my only mule deer mount.

So like a few others on the site, I have been thinking about getting a side by side for hunting. Mostly for going down to Mexico hunting. I have been really looking at the Rangers for the most part. But I am interested in what most of you guys that have them already have and why you decided on the make that you got. I have seen a couple of these Hisuns for sale on Craigslist and was kind of curious about them. Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks in advance for any information.

Great buck. I had a grunt with me down there but never got a chance to try it out. It is nice to know that they work. Congrats on what sounded like a tough hunt.
