Phil, congrats to you and John on some real nice bucks. It sounds like it was quite the hunt.

Well we are back. There was very little rutting activity down there. Only a few smaller bucks chasing does. I was able to take a nice buck on the first morning that I will post this weekend when I get a chance to catch up on work. Unfortunately I was the only one that got one.

So I am heading down across the border the end of this coming week for a whitetail hunt and was curious how the units down south along the border are looking for rutting activity. I am only hunting about 30 miles across the border so it should be pretty similar to here for rutting. What is everyone down there seeing?

We are heading south from Sasabe. The same Ranch that Ernesto just posted a buck from in the Mexico section. Now I am just hoping that it isn't so muddy that it is hard to get around.

Great footage. Not sure at what distance you were but it looks close. That buck looked like it had at least a crab claw 4th on the right side. It may have been a 4x4.

Congrats on a double, nice bucks. I did that on a archery javelina hunt one time. The only bad thing is now you have to wait an entire year to hunt deer in AZ again.

Cool picture. I always like seeing the peaks sticking out of the fog unless I have a tag and then it can ruin a morning hunt. Here is one that I took once. Messed up a half day waiting for it to lift.

I have the 10X50's and love them. Great glass and a great deal.

That would be a blast. When you are seeing bucks like those it makes it fun.

I have a versa pod bipod on my rifles and love it. I can get extra bases that attach to my rifles and then just use the same legs for all of them. They tilt and are easily adjustable for the side hills. And you don't have to have your legs on all the time. I keep them in my pack and they click on real easily when needed.
