I have the Benelli Nova and wish it did that. Mine is the opposite. Sometimes I have a hard time getting it to cycle.

I have the same pack and the nice thing is I can pull my rifle out of the scabbard without taking the pack off. Apparently it is a popular pack with as many people that that have it.

Wow that buck is giant in every way possible.

I have had a couple J-13 calls over the years and have had great results. Shot one at 3 yds archery one year. I was on one knee and shot it as it ran by toward a friend that was calling. Not a minute later I called one in for my friend and he shot one in the same spot.

That picture with the binocs backwards would be my screensaver. That is great.

How were you able to date the shot gun? I am curious because I have one that I got from my grandpa from when he went on a mission to England and traveled Europe afterwards for a month and brought his home with him. I have tried to date it but everything I have looked at says they don't have records from before WWII because they were lost during the war. Thanks

Oh I was hoping to get some good ideas. My wife posted on facebook that she wished I would let her know what I want for Christmas or she is going to punch me in the head. Well she got about 30 replies so far and it is mostly her friends saying they want to watch. Gun safe is #1 on my list. Can't think of much else that I really need or want.

Casey, I had the same hunt and saw lots of does and a hand full of spikes. Nothing else except a lion that I was trying to get a shot at but it slipped into the brush before I could get a shot. So good job on getting something with more than one point.

Here is a picture I got of a lion the other day while down south hunting coues with my phone. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get set up and take a shot at it. It was at 650 yds when I first ranged it but it started moving off further away and it slipped into the brush. How much country do they regularly travel? It was watching some deer that were feeding below it about 50 yds towards me. I was hoping it would follow.

That is an awesome bull. The way I look at it is you add about 25 to 50 points for it being a late archery hunt. And it is even better when you get the family involved.

You would think that buck is doing that on purpose. He lands on his feet every time. I don't see it ending very well either.

If I am rifle hunting I don't care how I smell as long as the guys hunting with me can. I just watch the wind. But when it comes to archery, I wash my clothes in all the fancy stuff and shower with the scent free soap. Even if it is only psychological that is good with me. My base layers are what I think helps more than anything. If you can get any moisture away from you so that it dries and doesn't smell it is an advantage. Just my 2 cents worth.
