Be prepared logistically as well, as simple as that sounds. Bring an extra spare tire or two, gas cans, water, etc. spare rifle if you have it. It’s pretty remote and you lose a precious day or two trying to solve some of those things. Congrats on the tag!

Based on elk and last years deer draw, should be today. But these things are consistently inconsistent so who knows.

How fast did you skin it after it was dead? Did you salt and dry it first and are now tanning or still wet? if you google skin slippage with that some things make come up
