Great seller. Arrived on time and gun better than described. Honest without reproach. Thank you!

Not huge, but isn't the 6.5 equivalent a 260, and the 284 equivalent to a 7mm?
-
Very clean for it's age. I think it's older than most of us on this site. Truth about guns places manufacture of I J's Champion between 1909 and 1957.https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/iver-johnson-whats-serial-number/. The gun may have originally sold for about $21.75. Your gun is in better shape than I am! Don't you love the internet?

I just woke up. Gee, I guess 16" stainless means 16" stainless.
-
Is the barrel 16" or longer, or a pistol length?
-
Contacted seller. Buying pending meeting up. Too pretty to pass up.

Pretty much two guns for the price of one discounted. Merry Christmas, or Holidays, very nice gift.

Del-ton DT Sport Lite AR w/ a few accessories

Just an FYI, I am not a dealer or a reseller. There is no immediate gain for me. I don't sell guns as a rule. I had a couple of friends talk me out of some AR's but they got them either as a gift, or for what I paid for them. I'm not here for profit, just knowledge. Not a lot of need to post. Those who know me know. -

PM me and I'll send you the vendors so you can do your own. I have no problem sharing info. I wasn't telling him how much to sell his for, just trying to get him to explain what he had and why it was worth the money. I told him I didn't need the gun, but through the pm's we had a frank discussion. I didn't mean for the post with the amount I've been able to build several for to go where it did, I'm still learning how to have private discussions versus public ones . Furthermore, I am not forcing, nor trying to force anybody to do anything. He has a 5.56 (223 is not the same) barrel with an unstated finish and approximately 400rnds down the Barrel. Del-ton model with Magpul upgraded stock, pistol grip, and fore grip/bipod. his scope is a UTG red dot. Unknown bcg finish. Are these not import points to know? Read back through what I said. When did I say he had to sell it to me? I wasn't bashing, but asking him to explain what he had and why it was worth what he was asking. Never said it wasn't worth it on this post. He asked me for an offer and I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T NEED IT, but I also told him what to me it was worth and why and that someone else could pay more. Just wanted him to evaluate what he had and what he wanted out of it. EVEN SAID SO in the PM. AR's are down. Many other guns are down. Bass Pro had Savage Compases for net $205.00 after rebate. Complete AR's in Tempe sold for about $300 a couple of months back. I'm not setting the prices, you give me way too much credit for power if you think I do. We have the internet to research prices. I value your input. Mockery solves nothing. I was not the one acting as a bully, but I do need to be more careful. Where I'm wrong on the points, show me. I'm certainly not perfect. But again, I can tell you where my research and pricing comes from, and I'm willing to share -- for free. -

Complete Anderson lowers were $119 and decent uppers were $139. BCG's were $46, and that's all retail. Wholesale was even less. Not Delt-on, but Del-ton isn't any better in my opinion. Not a good time to sell, great time to buy. Magpul is nice. That's a plus. UTG functions, but it's not Vortex , Luepold, Nikon, etc. I'm not being mean, just explaining from my perspective. If I'm off, feel free to correct me with facts or someone else chime in. -

That's helpful. Now we have more knowledge on the gun. In my mind, 400 rounds is lightly used, but not almost new. Just a matter of opinion. You are certainly entitled to yours and you did list the approximate number of rounds which is the best way, by all means. There are many vendors who give free shipping, especially right now. I won't list all of the places. Even the big guys are offering free shipping. I'm putting a few guns together for $300 and Todd at Southern Xpress can vouch for me. -

Tough time to sell an AR. Roughly 400 rounds down the barrel does not make it almost new, that's probably a little embellishment. The furniture is what brand? Anything special? Single stage trigger or two stage? Since parts are available to put one together for $300, why is this one worth $650 besides love? What are the add-ons and their values? Special barrel? Adjustable gas block or gas key? Nitride barrel and bolt? Is bolt chrome lined? Ni bcg or tn bcg? Ambi anything? You say you have several. Why are you selling this one? Mags are cheap, $5 to $10 usually. If you want to sell it for the higher price, tell us why. 223, 223 Wylde, 556, what caliber? We see the front grip and ergo pistol grip. What else? -
Thanks Eddie. As described and thanks for meeting me part way on the drive. Have a great Christmas.

Thanks for agreeing to sell me your rifle. I'm jealous of all the huntng you get in. 500 roundsdown the barrel is a few. Thanks for being so up front and honest. As I mentioned, I live really close to Todd South (Southern Express) in Mesa, near Bass Pro (one of the real adult toy stores?). So If I need to replace the barrel, I'll have him do it. I may have him put a muzzle break on it for now, so my 14 year old son can shoot it. Having kids late in life actually makes one more tired than younger, but atleast my career is steady and I can indulge in playing with guns. Good to hear you have a great gunsmith/gun builder there in Safford. What is his name again?

Looks like there are several really good gunsmiths. That will make your decission all that much harder while greatly increasing your likely success ratio. Todd South, Southern Xpress, is all of the positive that was said about the others and produces the same extremely high quality results. We are fortunate in this forum to have such good support and company availible to us.

Todd South, Southern Xpress. He's in Mesa near Bass Pro. He's a perfectionist and machinist.

I am not and educator and ceased college a year and a half before achieving my degree. That was a mistake. I have found that, as a parent having children late in life, teachers cannot not be solely responsible for my child's education. We started with reading to them every night. Books were special and gifts. We taught them our values and explained why ours varied at times from others. We taught them acceptance and tolerance of others and their opinions without having to agree or debate, unless invited to debate-and then in a civil manner. We taught them to respect others and not to judge without understanding the circumstances. Defend their selves when necessary but reduce and avoid conflict. Try to make things easier for others, especially teachers, while understanding everyone is imperfect, including us. They learned to play a musical instrument and participated in their school's orchestra. Knowledge and understanding are critical along with a strong work ethic. We researched our schools and their programs. When the school in our area was struggling with the challenge of kids whose parents left all of their education to the school and the teachers, we boundary-exceptioned them and drove our kids to schools where parents supported the teachers. We figured out that teachers get over whelmed and face an impossible task in areas where parents don't support the teachers and don't get parental help teaching the parent's children. Teachers cannot do it all alone. The school districts have one main fact screwed up. The teachers and kids are the assets, the school buildings and fixtures are the expenses. I'd rather have my child do without comforts and the pretty things but have the best teacher. Aristotle, Leonardo Di Vinci, etc. lacked the great comforts we enjoy and taught under trees and where ever. Teachers, schools, and school districts all vary. Parent's attitudes vary as well. But it is the parent’s responsibility to raise their child and be active and vigilant in their child’s education. Our kids are our greatest asset and legacy. We all need to make them our primary responsibility. Our lives come second once we have kids. We can still have fun and enjoy life. We may be broke, but we are rich beyond measure in our children. Each of my children is half of me, and I will live on long after my life ends. I'm taking care of me when I take care of my kids. May you be as wealthy in life. Just do your best at taking care of all of you. And spoil yourself on occasion. Be very involved in your children’s lives and education. Support the teachers, criticizing when absolutely necessary, but work with them. And don’t be too serious all of the time. The joke was funny and I could see it happening.

Rifle package only or scope package?
