Is this it?

Very reasonable in a time when unreasonable is the new norm or reasonable.

@Lark. The definition of Lark.🤣

And the price "dropped".😁

I heard Alaska had temps at -15 degrees the other day. I think I would be a Snowbird at that point.

One of my exact words was automatically edited by the program to heck. Still works.

Had to look it up. Learned something new? And yet I was a little familiar with the word from the past. Old age? Senility? A sign of the times? Hmm. Always something for thought on this forum.

Did you win that from Sportsman's?

If worst comes to worst, you can build an upper for your AR in 7.62 x 39. But I believe an AK has looser tolerances and with it's design it seems it will almost always function no matter how dirty it gets. Tough gun for sure. SKS may be a cheaper consideration, with or without a removable mag. Best wishes.

It's always fun to read all of the different opinions and see what pops up out of the wood work. I really enjoy this forum.

What brand, model? Bass Pro, Cabela's

In today's market what is reasonable?

Victory was over $3,000.00 new plus the sportsman stud. Used my pair on my hunt. Awesome binos.

Not this time. But it's amazing how much you " get around". Brian used to live less than a mile away. Now he's a whole city away.

He bought another house and is in the process of moving. I became real busy and couldn't help.😁😁

You love seconds! Just kidding. How's the move?

Street legal and registered? Nice stereo setup with the speakers.

Very interesting.

We named ours red meat, dinner, etc Blackie was a black cow and did not give calves and ate more than her fair share. She was a hog. Nobody likes pigs, but hogs get slaughtered. So, this it was. She was the first animal we raised and ate. We sat down to eat and my oldest, age 9 at the time, said," Dad, mom...." And a long silent pause. And I thought, here it comes, she can't eat it. Then she said, "I'm glad Blackie was such a pig, she tastes good!" I knew then the kids would be alright with it. Wow, that was 17years ago. Time flies.

I would do anything smaller than an elk or beef steer myself. Elk I might would do myself but I don't really think I'm setup yet for those larger animals and it is a lot of work.

Typically you have to plan three to six months in advance. Some places have a standby list for people who cancel. On a goat, just do it yourself. Sheep, again do it yourself. Cattle, I've not been that brave. That's a lot of work and I'm not set up for that.

And I just put a great tasting mulie in mine.

I have sheep. Goats are too hard to keep in and destroy things. I also have 2 two year old steers that are almost ready for finishing out/butchering. Hay will go through the roof and has already started to. The fuel/fertilizer/equipment cost has doubled. Watch what meat prices do next year. Maybe nearly double unless everyone sells, and then the year after will soar instead. Get ready for the ride.
