While a modicum of transparency from G&F would be nice, everyone is acting like the hunts start next month. The best I can tell for Pronghorn and Elk is the first hunt is August, right? You know, like 5 months away. For me, whether I find out this week or April 1 (and that's no joke), it does not matter in the least from a planning perspective. On a related note, I'll bet most of the complainers here would take a serious hit on their standard of living if they woke tomorrow morning making what the folks at G&F do. Eddie

My experience may not be helpful to all, but it worked for me. A number of years ago, I did the Walk For Hunger in Boston. It's a long walk of 20 miles, but not especially difficult terrain. Anyhoo, the first couple years I did it, I had a few blisters. The last year (I think it was) was 1999. My wife was pregnant with our daughter so I was on my own. I coated my feet (don't remember where I heard of this) in Vaseline, put my socks on and off I went. IIRC, I did the walk in 4.5 hours with nary a blister in sight. YMMV. Eddie P.S. Hello All, I have 250 rounds of the 38 Special ammo in the attached pic. This is good stuff from what I understand and the boxes have never been opened. $200 for 250 rounds.
