    A Question For Plumbers...

Hello All, I'm replacing the angle valve on the water supply for our fridge and when I remove the valve and brass connector in the attached picture, the water flows freely for a good while, creating a wet mess. No idea how much water, but easily a gallon or more as it soaks multiple towels and rags. Before opening up the water supply line, I open three faucets in the house and turn off the water to the house. I have a Grundfos circulator pump too (to get hot water quickly to all locations) that I stop when I open the faucets. Any CWT plumbers that can tell me how to stop the water from flowing so I can install the new AV? Did I need to stop the Grundfos long before I actually shut off the water as the house might be harboring residual pressure from the Grundfos? The AV is about 3-4 inches above the floor. Thanks for your help. Eddie

    A Question For Plumbers...

Thanks CWT for your comments and help. All is good and the short answer is that, since it's the low point for the water, I just have to control it or let it drain to a bucket. With the water turned off, and the supply line low point, it's just going to drain some water until it's done. Eddie

    A Question For Plumbers...

No solar or HW heater expansion tank. I'm shutting the water off after the city meter but before it enters the house. I'm sure the house shut off valve is not leaking as it was replaced about 10 years ago with a ball valve. I'll shutoff the water using the city valve next time and the house shutoff next time. We only have one valve for our irrigation system so I'll run the irrigation system for a couple mins after I shut the water off. Thanks @forepaw Eddie

    BUYING / TRADING SILVER

Just an FYI that 90% silver coins are also called "Junk Silver" or "Constitutional Silver" and probably a few other names I'm forgetting. Often times shops will offer you a multiple of the face value of 90% coins. as it's a very easy conversion. For example, if you have 20 silver dollars, you might get $60 for $1 face so 60:1. This is just an example as the silver runup recently might make the 60, number, 65 or 70. Shop around as prices can vary widely. Ag spot is now at $101/toz. I'm truly gobsmacked at its runup and this might be a good time to sell. Good luck, Eddie

Shane Rhoton Indicted for Theft and Fraud

Just another of the endless examples of the few screwing the many. You know like those poor somalians in MN or the Uvalde cop found innocent yesterday for not doing his job while innocent children were slaughtered. As GC says, it's a big club and you ain't in it. Eddie P.S. And @bonecollector if one believes the article in the link, he's a DDM or DDS.

    **** SOLD ***** Ruger Mini-14 .223 Remington + Extras - $800

    Sold. Thanks CWT. Eddie
  11. Hello All, Selling my Ruger Mini-14 in .223 Remington. Owned it for 5+ years, but bought the SS version of this rifle recently so this has to go. This is a 185 series rifle and is ca. 1990. Caliber is .223 Remington and includes 4 mags (5, 10, 25 and 30 rds). The 5 rd mag is Ruger with the others aftermarket the best I can tell. All function as designed the last time I used them. This rifle should only shoot .223 Rem with larger grain bullets (> 65) for optimal performance as the barrel twist is 1:7. I also installed a Trueshot barrel stabilizer soon after I purchased it to improve accuracy. Price is $800 (cash is king) and meet in N. PHX/N. Scottsdale area. Zip Code 85254. Must show me your AZ DL, sign a BoS and NOT be a prohibited possessor. Happy to answer any questions. Eddie

SOLD 2001 Toyota Tundra 4x4 Hunting Truck

Any idea of mileage when dash was replaced? I'd guess 350k +/- 50k as it sits today. At that price, and with all the replaced parts, it is well worth the risk of unknown miles. GLWS, Eddie

PSA Dont Book Wards Outfitter For Sandhill Crane

I'm no linguist or Rhodes Scholar, but no way facts (I did not verify his statement) can be inflammatory. If, in fact, WO are convicted poachers, that may hurt their feelings reading it on a hunting forum, but that's about it. Eddie
