I agree with az4life, I've been to quite a few meetings and it is very frustrating to sit there and listen to the general population talk about their feelings. Qiete often they make no sense at all, their hearts are in the right place and they are not lazy like most of us, they actually get their butt to the meeting and try to make a difference.... things seem to work much better if there is a few spokespersons voicing our concerns.. we need to remember that most of the people working for the G&F have masters or phd's and are used to working with scientific facts not heart felt emotions...I also think if the commision just left the hunt numbers up to the individual biologist in each unit things would be much better.

So. AZ forest may be closed!

the fact is we have illegals here ONLY because our goverment wants them here. we can stop them if wanted. we also do have the resourses to build a wall if needed. Just use the border patrol as supervisors and the illegals as laborers. It would be much cheaper than paying for and increasing the number of agents. by the way I really don't have a problem with them comming to work and live here. they serve a purpose and are probable vital to what is left of our economy. at least this goes for 98% of the illegals. -
I was just wondering what you all are doing with your sheds. do you sell them? or are they just lying around. every time I put sheds in the front of the house they seem to disapear within a week. Ive been told that people sell them?

I also can't wait. we were there a few times this past spring and summer, fishing and taking the horses for swims, and couldn't believe how low it was. we usually hang out around horse pasture. well this summer that was the western edge of the lake. also just the fact that you can now see the lake from the highway is great.

I also have shot most brands. In my opinion high country used to be the best. they were fast and smooth. but about 7 years ago mathews left everybody behind, and they are still trying to catch up. the last bow I bought was a mathews 3 1/2 years ago. it is buy far the best I have ever shot. If you have a mathews that is not quiet then something is very wrong. I have had 4 pse bows and my back up is a pse. I do not thing they are a very good bow. lots of work to get them quiet, and to tune. not a smooth draw. But I will agree they have great customer service. I have my back up because I had one of their bows blow up. All it took was 1 call, send the bow in and they sent me a NEW bow top of the line at the time and new rest. this was on a 6 year old bow. But still all in all it can't compair to my mathews...Also if you do buy a pse go to the factory and shoot them all. and also look at last years models and save big bucks...

re: the stanslowski release it is a great release if you have a target panic problem. I used one for practice for about 2 years. I also hunted with it untill I had to make a quick shot at a pig. it was a thick area with pigs moving everywhere. it called for a quick shot. I missed 4 times at under 20 yards with my 12 year old son laghing his head off at me. Just know way for ME to make a quick shot with that release. My son did get his pig and had a great time at my expense

get a scott, you can't go wrong with any of their models. I use velcro straps, they are all a double strap. you do not have to worry about them coming off. the trigger through is also adjustable, and you should adjust it to you. the ONLY good release is the one you don't EVER think about......

I completely agree with jason, I practice to 80-90 yard often. this makes looking at and picking a spot at 40 yards seem easy. also if you can hold steady at 80 think how easy it is not to waver at 40. Also if you have the ability practice at different angles to the target and unknown yardage..

I've shot ACC's for 7 years and like them the most. they have a little more diameter than carbon which makes them easy to fletch and tune to my rest. I think in the 7 years I've only broken 3 arrow's. I also have one arrow which is responsible for 6 kills.

draw length and weight for kids
runningbird replied to bowsniper's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I gave both of my boy's High Country bows when they were about 8, I chose the high country because the weight went from 25-40 and draw was adjustable from 23-28. these were real bow's which they both were able to hunt with when they were old enough. I think it's important to start them off with quality equipment to help keep them from getting discouraged. these bow's were pretty easy to tune and they were fast! they start shooting with tabs, easier to learn with plus no big deal when lost. For my daughter I bought her a nice pse recurve which shot very nice and was easy to draw. any good luck and most of all be patient and have FUN. -
wow, that's a nice looking buck, if you need someone to guard your treestand while your not around i'll do it. GOOD LUCK!!!

reguarding the PSE shop ask for a current inventory of last years bows. thats how I got my back up. they are usually about half price.

The closest Iv'e gotten was about 55 yards and I still could'nt find him, My son was 400 yards away signaling that he was right in front of me. I never even saw him when he snuck away. Oh well I'll be searching for him again soon.

what is considered "average" group?
runningbird replied to grant the young hunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I agree with both the above post. I would also say that right now you should not take a shot at over 30 yards. your group is not to bad but remember that is at a known distance. try taking shots from random yardage and angles, then let us know what your groupings are like. I think youll find that your groups are not as good. One thing I do is just walk outside at any angle or yardage and take only one shot, then stop. anyway Good luck and have fun. -
I also shoot a Mathews. I've shot most of their bows. If they continue to produce this quality of equipment I don't think I'll shoot anything else.

I would help just about anyone out. Remember if you need help do you care if they are res or non res. I've met some very nice and helpfull non res. on hunts. for the most part were all there for the same reason.
