Thank you for posting these. Others who didnt watch the meeting were nay saying my info. This proves what i was saying. Also, non-hard to draw critters like javelina are better in the raffle. elk, sheep, etc are not.

just watched the meeting. Basically, small "big" game like lion and bear revenue generated by the change is "projected" to go up slightly. Bison and pronghorn are projected to have somewhat higher revenue. For the big game we are famous for elk, mule deer, and bighorn sheep there is a projected DEEP decrease in revenue. Just one of these species tag allocation going to a raffle is enough to blow away any benefit from any other increases we might see in a raffle situation. So, i guess money isnt everything? The other concerning thing is the raffle revenue has dropped precipitously across the board with the change to Conservation First USA. Not a good time to make a change like this given the downward trend.

Hi Fellow Hunters, my sister-in-law has the December cow tag (12/9-15). I went up this weekend to help. We mostly worked the area east of the Young rd as we *thought* we knew this area. We glassed up lots and lots of bulls. Including 2 really big guys. However, not one single cow. From the OW ranch and south all we saw were bulls. We realized that in the past we have only been in there in sept and oct. Do the cows go else where during December? We are at a loss on what we are doing wrong. Again found lots of elk. Just the wrong sex... Any tips or areas to look over would be appreciated.

Yep. They had figured that out and went home. WM called them and chatted about it. Thanks for letting us know but they had already figured out their mistake...
