That is one heck of a buck. Kathi & Mark don't come any better. Congratulations Rodney on a beautiful buck. If you are who I think you are I would like to thank you again for picking me up along the road that day I was carrying out my buck. If you remember right that was my Christmas buck as well. Had to leave the quad on the mountain till the day after Christmas and was surprised it was still there since I had left the keys in the ignition along with all my personal gear. TJ

Those who know me know I was born under a rock and not the smartest marble in the jar. Heck yeah I'll take that as a compliment since I don't get many. Need to know any other non important information just ask. TJ

Who the heck is Cliff Claven? TJ
-
Yes, they are sterilized to prevent reproduction. What did you use to catch them? A friend of mine uses flies that look like moss. TJ

Congratulations on catching them carp. There is no doubt you and the wife had a blast trying to haul them in. Thanks for sharing. Since I work at the Water Treatment Plant in Chandler I know a little about these fish that are in our water source supplied by SRP. The big fish you are holding along the canal is a White Amur. They are native to China and SRP stocks them in their canals to control the moss and weeds. They started stocking them back in 1980 and they save hundreds of thousands of dollars in heavy equipment normally used to clean out the canals annually. Just about every canal you see while driving around the valley are stocked with them. As the canals become necessary to clean, most annually, the fish are carefully herded up and moved to a wet canal and then replaced later. A 7lb white armur can eat up to 3/4 of their weight in moss and weeds daily. Here is something most people don't no about these fish. SRP encourages people to report the keeping of these fish to the AZ Game Thief Operation Hot Line however catch and release is alright from what I've been told. I know a few who catch them on fly rods something I will be trying myself. TJ

I thought the same Amanda. Congratulations to Phil and the Az Ground Pounders. That's an awesome cat. Matthewp45....You got one of the best mounts I've ever seen. Completely different from all the rest. Something you might see if you glassed it up. Good choice. -
Now why did you go and do this? I hope my wife doesn't get on here. Great looking parents for sure. You won't have any trouble getting rid of the puppies I'm sure. Maybe show a few more pictures of the pups. TJ

What is the most efficient way to learn a new unit?
tjhunt2 replied to SHeap's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I'm always interested in learning a new unit however I'm quite happy with 22N. It's been very good to me over the years and has put a lot of elk meat in the freezer. Shoot me a pm and let's talk. TJ -
Congratulations to you and your wife. You bet that beats an elk tag. Thanks for sharing our newly member on cwt. TJ

That's awesome Keith. Maybe there is hope for me after all. TJ -
Always enjoy looking at your photos. Thanks for sharing. TJ

Thanks kidso, now my phone is ringing off the hook and my pm inbox is full. I'm sure kidso was just paying me a compliment but let me set the record straight. I don't run any elk hunts in 22N. It's not a secret it's my favorite unit. Good luck everyone on the elk & antelope hunts. Anyone want to swop a goat tag for an elk tag? TJ

Not really hunting associated but thought I would throw this out there since I need my palm trees trimmed. I usually do them every year so they're not all that bad. I have 3 total that need cut. The one in my back yard especially is the one I'm concerned with. I would like to get it cut before I bring my new 5th wheel home. Access is easy and would like it done today if possible. I know that's asking a lot and it's a long shot but thought I would ask. Anyone on here or know someone please call. Home 480-833-1230 or cell 480-710-5702.We normally pay $100 for all three. Thanks! TJ

Trees are about done. Cost was $100 for all three. Mama is a happy camper. When mama is happy things go quite well around here. TJ

22N above the control rd. TJ

Flatlander, I'm flattered but I only hunted elk once in 22S and it was because I wrote down the wrong hunt unit number. Had everybody on my tag mad at me and come to think of it some haven't hunted with me since. I do know a few water holes from scouting it that year, 5 or 6yrs ago, but other than that I do not know the unit like you think. azshr..........pm sent TJ

AZGFD questionnaire
tjhunt2 replied to 257wby's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Just a survey to help put together information that can be helpful in their data base. Everything is about numbers with them. They have done this for as long as I can remember. TJ -
Wow, I wish I lived where I could get out in the evenings. Thanks for posting. You found more this year than I found in the last 5 years. TJ
