The score after 60 days will not matter if it or any deer becomes the world record. The final score will be determined by a P&Y Panel Committee at the next recording period convention. The velvet will also have to be stripped to be considered a world record according to P&Y.

Might have been a fantail...dont know if they still recognize this subspecies anymore. Fantail was never a subspecies. It was just a local name for a small Coues deer with a small basket rack.

I like the way the horns really hook in. Congratulations to your friend.

Nice antelope. My all time favorite animal to hunt. Congratulations. -
How do you pass the time in the blind?
Arizona Griz replied to capt88's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
On my recent hunt in New Mexico I sat 5 continuous days 13 hours each. I now know every thing about my GPS. It was the only the only thing I brought to pass the time. -
That's a very nice buck, congratulations.

Mullin's Got it done in a big way!

It is definitely a nice bull. Congratulations to the hunter. I will say the thread sure turned south. The funniest part of it is the "SCI Master Measurer". -
Are those hand calculated numbers or taken from the overhead console if they have one?
-
Mike, those are some nice mounts. The Coues are great.

That is one dandy buck.

I guess I am in the minority here but I will continue to drive the speed limit, BTW if you drive a diesel you will get better fuel economy. I do try to pull over when someone is speeding up behind me when I am in the high speed lane.
-
You got a point. I drive all over the state. I have yet to have my "picture" taken but then again I drive the speed limit. If it happens one day I am sure not going to ignore. I drive the speed limit and I don't care what the traffic speed is. If I can move over to the right to let the faster traffic go by I will. It seems like the ADOT mobile cameras give you plenty of notice with the one or two signs that are put up. I will say that some of the rural highways don't have anough speed limit signs so it is hard to guess the speed limit.

Congratulations on your trophy. I like to see animals go into the record books.
