Very nice pictures. -
Touch decesion. You made the right call but I am sure it was hard to do. I don't know what I would do if I had been in your shoes.

No reason to change it if it's not broken. -

Ditto, I will be there in October. -
Why, they are everywhere in 21 or at least they used to be. Gosh I hate a smarta$$ (I was refering to ME) . Check the G&F site for better information.

Very nice video, I must have missed it the first time around. And you are right, with fall coming up we (hopefully) will all be in the field doing what we like to do best. I know I will. With the Coues tag (crossing my fingers) I will have a trifecta. -
I just might take you up on that. Thanks for the offer. It is also my second choice but for the early October hunt. I have an archery elk hunt in November.
-
Nope, it will be the first time for me. I have hunted 36A the last four years and it was time for a new area.
-
It is 6 1/2 hours round trip including the 1 hour hike in. Opps.
-
Nice buck, I hope to draw that tag this year.
-
Very nice collection.

Why shouldn't I believe you? The rest of your post was contained a very good "sportsman like" attitude. Sorry to say I won't be archery deer hunting this early season since I will be just coming back from 10 days in New Mexico antelope hunting.

Getting back on topic, I believe the orginal poster said he was going to hunt the area like he always has for 13 years. Interesting that it has taken that long to find the salt but so be it. I personally know the person who started the salt and by leaving the calling card he obviously wants to let be known that he plans to hunt it like he has for the past 5+ years. I have had the same type (treestand instead of salt) happen to me with a member of this site. I told him when I would be hunting it and any other time he was more than welcome to use the stand. It's that easy. If he plans on hunting it then I would personally back out and give the area space it deserves. Please DO NOT put in another salt in the vincinity. That goes without being said I hope.

Nice collection of trophies. I saw some Oryx last weekend in New Mexico while looking around for antelope.
