Auto ordinance “United we stand “1911 .45

You know you're not going to shoot it ! It's one of the guns you buy to admire. Though nice I like to shoot them and doing so brings down value. -
Alignment shops on the east side of town?

So I got the new drag link adjuster from steer smarts its $135 plus shipping and is a direct fit replacement for the welded drag link adjuster . The carli level kit is on order so that's new springs and shocks all 4 corners and the adjustable track bar to re center the front end after everything is added. The manager at Big O started out as a a$$ and didn't want to do anything . Said he was being nice about it just taking a look at it . So I said I'm being nice by calling and coming in to get it fixed as I could very easy make a much bigger deal outa it and take them to court. The truck was in the back about 3 minutes later and re- adjusted . I'm sure given the report it's still out of spec . But safe to drive till everything is in and the level kit is installed and re- aligned . Here are some pictures of how far the clamp was loose you can clearly see where the nut was and how far I had to go to tighten it . Also the tires that only had just over 9k miles. Big O didn't want to cover the tires ! I'm working on that with there regional manager. Discount tires was much better as I took the truck right over after big o and explained everything to the manager and even though he didn't have to cover the replacement due to a mechanical issue he did get me two new replacement tires at half cost and had transferred all the warranty to the new ones. -

So after the recent rain which made the truck sketchy to drive . I crawled under it to take a look . What I found is surprising that the truck didn't come apart and have a major accident. My new tires are junk ! Bfg ko2s that have only been on for less than 5 months . That's a problem the inside edges are worn and scalloped . The truck had excessive toe out issues. So I was going to adjust it in and found that the bolt that is supposed to tighten the tie rod adjuster was loose and coming apart. Apparently BIG O didn't tighten it down and the adjuster was coming apart. I've got a appointment with the manager today to go over what was found and see how they want to proceed . It's going to be 2 new tires for sure . The adjuster for the drag link won't be here till Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm going to go ahead and put the carli level kit and adjustable track bar in while everything is screwed up . Just 1 bolt loose could have caused a major loss of control . -
I haven't counted but there's probably 100 kids entered in the giveaway . Remember they don't have to be site members to enter! As long as they meet the easy requirements they can enter . It's open to all Arizona youth.

Added some color to the stock today . I was looking at blues but didn't like the test stock look . I think the green is a much better look . It still needs matte clear . Before and after.

With parts coming in for my new build a 280ai I'm contemplating a change in actions .I currently have a new in the box rem 700 but wonder what could be.If I stick with the 700 action it will need extensive Smith work to get it where I need it (blue printing, side bolt release ,extractors, and bolt handle work) Do I just pony up and get a Defiance or kelby action and sell the rem . No matter what I'll be waiting for a stock from manners Parts I already have rem 700 action ,bdl bottom metal, trigger tech diamond trigger ,and the proof barrel will be here friday. The stock is months out. This is probably the last custom gun the wife will let me build . What would you do?

I ended up buying a new adjuster for the drag link . It's the way there supposed to be made. Once it arrives I'll install it then I can get everything aligned correctly . The part was 150 .00 shipped. -
Then I'd have to do a form 1 for a sbr. It's going to be a hog hunting gun so not really worth the added expense in the stamp. Besides I've already got two cans on a delay and everything else is going to go with those till the feds take a look . Not my first nfa items but still delayed 😑. Thanks though.

Well that didn't go as expected. They sure can align the front end of the truck once they get the new replacement adjustable drag link from ram . I've already looked into the vo6 link permanent fix and it's a free replacement part from the ram . They sell the part to those that don't know to get ahold of ram cares and file the claim and insist on the fix . I JUST DON'T WANT THE TRUCK GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP AS THE WILL ALMOST FOR SURE DO THE EMISSIONS RECALL . That's a absolute no go for me . Now network can get the part from the dealership on my $$$ and bill me to install it when it's a free replacement part. -
Colorado has strict rules for sxs use and all but a very small number of places can u use it. It wasn't worth the time to take it . I'm not asking for any spots I'll due my own work . Just seeing if it's even worth bringing it is all . I'm by no means a road hunter and absolutely hate the guys that seem to just troll the roads at dawn and dusk in the hopes of shooting something. I'll take a look at some maps and onx and decide for myself.

What's the access like ? Would it be worth the time to dig out the s x s and haul it up. We only use it for travel to a spot then on foot and haul out. I took my quad to Colorado once what a waist of fuel. Can't use them at all it seems.

I built all mine with adjustable blocks . Once tuned they are the sh$t. The guns just cycle with out being hard on everything and they help with felt recoil .

2023 Mormon Lake Bowhunter Happening 3D shoot?
Crazymonkey replied to knothead's topic in The Campfire
It's sad up there 😢 it's been that way for awhile . Since the Cafe at the Gass station closed . The original one with the blond with the cans and short shorts was forced out. Not the crappy service and bad food from the ones that took over and couldn't make it work. You could get a good bite to eat there before. She did run the lodge for awhile but it was never the same . I'm thinking the management had alot to do with the quality and quantity of the menu. -

Thanks Dennis ( Wildwoody) for the ammo donations and bringing it out to us while we were hunting.

Looked at one awhile back . Impressive guns funny to watch most shoot. If I do get the desire I'd probably go 460 for a hand cannon . Russ if you do come across one I'd love to shoot it just once . I'm still crazy 🤪 enough to shoot anything once

Out hunting pigs last weekend Friday and Saturday for me . My buddy stayed till Sunday and heard a shot and came across another hunter with a pig . Tells him his friends are on pigs then boom ,boom in the draw . Up comes the other guys . They put the gun up and go to get the pig . I guess it wasn't dead so they scurry back and get the gun and shoot some more . My buddy is watching this and asked what they were shooting with. When he's headed back the first guy is high tailing it out of there back to camp . Found this left out there. Only the head and straps were gone . Is this legal? Or a poacher. The same guys were in about the same spot last year .

I hadn't seen this done myself. We gut and skin them out and have chorizo or some form of brats or sausage made . He was asking me and I didn't know myself so there is why I'm asking . Seems like a waste of a few good pounds of meat especially if you've already skinned the back and hopefully removed the gland. It's not much more to just clean the rest out.
