I had a run in with a hunter a few years back in 6a on my dads muzzy hunt park there sxs directly across the water hole we had a blind setup on the day before .nobody around just parked then I glass and catch trail markers going left of the water so can't shoot left or in front.at prime time here comes a guy walking from the left and sits down buy a tree against the sxs.I stick my hand out the blind and wave and he just waved back .I had enough and got out and was politely stating that he can't park his sxs here and bugger up the area. He started to give me crap so I responded to him it's in the regs he is impeding animals to water still got crap till my dad walked up wearing a fish and game hunter saftey instructors hat and then it was all cleared up funny thing is its a California hunter saftey hat as my dad is an instructor there .

I know this is a long shot but could I talk you into donating those 20 gauge shells to a few kids for the up coming dove hunts .you can see in the classified from a few days ago I've run out of shells to donate I was giving two boxes 50 rounds to kids in need .I will pay for the shells if you'd like I just can't run out to Scottsdale to pick them up.

Try x reload .com. It shows stock

Any ideas on a good set of bags or a solid rest. The rest for the range and some bags for everything else especially a rear bag I had trouble getting steady and can see how it will cause issues
-
Made it to the range today .it was a learning experience .so here goes first round outa the barrel no hit on target at 100 so in to 25 to see hits .I pulled the bolt and went to run a patch and must have grabbed a bigger one for another gun and got it stuck. A little work and some bad words later and back running see first target at 25 .shows promise with store bought ammo .brought the target out to 100 and started to run some barns 140 gr thru and spread opened need to wait for the case to check free bore and set bullets back. Also need to drop trigger weight its a timmney and factory set .the scope seems to need to come back to clear up view.see second target .all in all it was a learning experience some new brass ,adjustment to trigger and scope,a few tweets to the seating depth and ill make another run at it

Try northern shooters supply in stock but way pricey

2nd the slumberjack cots. I've got a trailer so no more on the ground stuff for me but still have the cots there great for trips and my daughter would rather sleep on them than a hotel bed

CVA optima 50cal stainless fluted 26” w/BH breech plug
Crazymonkey replied to 060785's topic in Classified Ads
Good price for a good gun you get the scope. Basically for free and its already to go for the cost of a new gun with out tax and shipping . probably paid a bit more for just the gun -
Lab puppies just listed on classified
-
If your budget permits don't underestimate the 45 cal paramount from cva .longrange capable but its a little expensive I've got the pro and it's a stout shooter great for deer and elk .I won't tell you what I paid for my older optima without the quick detach breach plug but the 3 packs of powerbelt bullets it came with cost more
-

Crazymonkey replied to Crazymonkey's topic in Classified Ads

My buddies are down the 205 somewhere and have had a few shots and misses so far say the deer are jumping the strings I said they just have arrow avoiding radar
-
Damm awesome pics good luck on the hunt
-
Need one to hunt or just play?I may have a few tho I don't sell any guns anymore I might lend a few out from time to time
-
If your barrel is already threaded for your break you can just shim the barrel to get correct alignment using a set of bubble levels one on the gun and the other on the break I assume it has a flat or a baffle you could reference shims are available at brownells and there cheap

First timer - Unit 30B early December hunt
Crazymonkey replied to M@tt's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Never hunted this unit but all the tips above are great advice .I would say the most over looked way to find a good grid to check is Google earth it will show you a lot more than you think. Water sources and even trails if you rotate the maps just know some are dated and the things you see may not be there but it will give you gps# you can use to get a start -
..Check muzzleloaders .com .they can ship straight to your door and don't discount the cheaper ones I shot my big bull with a cva wolf a base model gun that just works I've since upgraded but still love that gun and as always try and get one with the plug for blackhorn 209.its way better and easily cleaned non corrosive powder
