Compression is good .with high mileage I'd figure your valve seals are getting a little weak and your running a bit of oil down thru .sounds like new plugs and see what happens

First gun was a browning a bolt in 30-06 had a ziess 3x9 on top never did shoot an animal with it .then we moved here and everyone said you need a gun with more punch for elk so I sold it for a 300 win ruger m77 stainless and have a vx3 on top. I've shot elk and pigs with it .its a bit much for javalina at 10 feet but was worthwhile to pull the trigger and see the pig fly about 3 feet and land in the brush all dressed out with 1 shot .😁

Its a early imi gun from pre ban and probably shoots from an open bolt and is definitely worth every penny your asking .most that are looking at it should know this .

This is why nobody wants to drive a ford or be friends with anyone who does sooner or later they break down

If you could only have one .great shot placement or high kenitic energy and why?for example I'd take shot placement as even with all that energy if the shot is poor it probably won't kill.remember only one please! Yes I know they go hand and hand in hunting but let's see

Lost a deer in 12a with a expandable 18 yard shot .figure it didn't open and pin holes the deer .felt like shoot for not killing it clean and went to cut on contact after that
